No animals were really seen on Thursday nor on Wednesday. On Friday, Dec 5th, they showed up in the open at half past seven, in cover of the morning dusk, although the carrots should have sent information by smell to forest inhabitants at “kilometres away”. Interesting - what kept them away from the feeding ground?

 

The first to arrive was our familiar female deer with her calf; they were joined by one more female (an adult individual, it seems) and of course where ladies move there Hubert must find some business to show himself off – all should know who is the deer king of this forest.
