Roe deer       Metskits or kaber      Capreolus capreolus

It is a common annual autumn view to see the roe deer enjoy the sprouting seeds in grain fields. The male in the video still wears his antlers despite having winter fur but part of his species comrades are already bare-headed.

Pildil annab hästi võrrelda äärmiste isenditel (soku ja kitse) sabapeeglite erinevat kuju. Mõne aja möödudes, kui isased oma uhkuse maha poetanud ehk suguliseks tuvastamiseks jääbki osundatu ainsamaks võimaluseks.

In the photo you can compare the different shapes of the rear mirrors of the individuals (a roe buck and a doe). After some time when all the males have dropped their antlers  the shape of the mirror remains the only way to distinguish the genders from a distance.
