I was thinking the same thing. I remember him incubating during the day, but I don't recall him making any daytime appearances since the chicks hatched. (Even his mate didn't seem to be expecting him, seeing how she just ignored him at first )
And, in fact, this might well be the first time the whole family has been seen together...
