On this side of herons colony are some of White Eagrets nests but they are not well visible, so sad....

do you have an overview how many White Egrets are in this Grey Heron colony?

White Egrets are said to prefer to nest/breed in dense reed bed, but in Estonia they also mingle with Grey Herons and nest in their colonies in trees ....

In this colony was last year 490 pairs of herons and 250 pairs of White Eagrets. As I understand behind this camera, this year is White Eagrets more than last year... Last year I saw them sometimes only, this year are them more in front of our camera. :loveshower:

Under our camera are three nests, in one of them are again 5 eggs!

Unfortunately, in Estonia, we have converted the forest into money. We fight against this.... :cry:
