9. April

During the last days I saw that parent birds often get up from the nest and only stand over the egg for a while.
I suppose it is quite warm in the area and when parents don´t want to have a boiled egg they have to get up that it won´t overheat.

From today

Male (?) delivers a snake, but female doesn´t eat it immediately. He stays a while and sends several astonished looks because the snake is not getting eaten. :D

Interesting episode

Female (?) is sitting on the egg and suddenly is surprised .... something is moving under her!
The snake from the last delivery, not eaten yet, is still alive

She got up, watched the whole event a while, lifted the snake up and maybe ended her life then ....

My recording stops not long after this event, so I can´t say more about the fate of this snake ....

I am absolutely fascinated by the food situations here on this nest .... *wow*

While eaglet was still fed with the lizard, a new delivery came in, a snake. The female ate it herself.
