13;48 She gets up and is a bit restless. A few times she stands still for several seconds.
Then Virsis starts calling in the distance. She replies softly.

13:53 They stand close together for a while. Spilve is calling very softly and bites Virsis. Virsis seems relaxed and yawns several times.
He even bites Spilve gently on the head twice
Quite an intimate moment.

Yesss! An EGG!
You could see she was in labour and had to push several times.
Hopefully someone can make a video.

She turns the egg several times and turns and turns herself for almost 7 minutes before she finally sits down on the egg..but not all the way yet.
I guess the egg is still soft for some time.

This is an image we are going to see for a loooong time.
40 (?) days till the egg hatches.
I'm curious how many times Virsis will demand to sit on the egg He is so used to lying on the nest..

The egg laying took all in all 3 minutes. The contractions started at 16:30. She pooped twice in the beginning which is not surprising. I haven't seen a bird in labour like this before.
17:41 Turning the egg again.

Spilve is tired. Not surprising. Her first egg!
And we had to wait for more than 3 years
Maybe this is the first time this is recorded?
