Hello all

I don't know if anyone is still following this nest but until now Spilve and het new mate have not been seen. I guess you all realised that this season they wouldn't breed on this nest, it is already too late in the season.

Uģis Bergmanis wrote a message a few days ago:

It turns out that Spilve and her new friend have settled in the nearby artificial nest, less than a kilometer from the existing webcam nest. An impressive pile of twigs was visible from a distance - the artificial nest I built in 2014 is almost a meter high. The upper part of the nest is built of fresh twigs, which gives hope that the eagles will nest here. It should be noted that rock eagles have supplemented this nest with branches for several previous years, but have not yet successfully nested here. This is very good news because Spilve and her boyfriend have not moved to another swamp and are alive. So there is hope to see both eagles in the old nest.
