I am in Denmark regularly and watch there with frown lines as green spaces disappear in favor of the agricultural and tourism lobby.

Sweden now too ???

Lead poisoning from hunter ammunition, extensive clear cuts that reduce food, illegal hunting ...
I am surprised that all these things happen even in Scandinavian countries. And still lead in ammunition??

Well ... Denmark also allows itself border controls contrary to the Schengen Agreement.
Denmark bought a wild boar fence worth millions ... supposedly to fight swine fever. Coincidentally at the time of the refugee crisis.
The last wild boar was also eliminated in Denmark. Denmark is free from wild boar.
In Denmark, club facilities for tourism are built high ... built wide - arable land is sealed.
Very soon there will be no functioning food chain.

Well .... laugh or cry?
But yes ... the topic also includes other discussion.

Hello!

pictures of the logging there are linked in Sigge's signature.

German companies in the wood industry are located directly in Latvian forests... and so on.

18:15 got up again ... did the geese lure you? Look ... poop over the nestbowl.
Some more pecking in the nest floor.

Lies down again and digs easily.

18:21 "sniffs"

And off to the side branch.
"grunts"? :D

18:28 The Juvenile is still sitting on the side branch.

18:30 sweet sounds. :innocent:

18:44 It's dark, but I think I can still hear his tender sounds.
He would still be there.

Hello all :hi:

I don't know if anyone is still following this nest but until now Spilve and het new mate have not been seen. I guess you all realised that this season they wouldn't breed on this nest, it is already too late in the season.

Uģis Bergmanis wrote a message a few days ago:

"Good evening, Watchers! In a jutubes chat today, Maris asked what LVM's plans are for the live broadcast of the rock eagle's nest. It is clear that the eagles will not nest in the video surveillance nest this year. Eagles have chosen a different bog for nesting. If eagles nested in this swamp, we would have noticed them. We have no plans to relocate the system, as there are few such densely populated nests, and the distances to nests, operators, access and other practical considerations must even be taken into account. Relocating such a system is very complicated and time consuming. So we are staying where we are and looking forward to the return of the eagles."

But, they have been seen by him nearby so they are breeding, only not in this nest. Maybe in another year they will..

A new message from Ugis Bergmannis:

"Good evening, Watchers! Yesterday I hid the rock eagle Spilve swamp and checked one artificial nest. It turns out that Spilve and her new friend have settled in the nearby artificial nest, less than a kilometer from the existing webcam nest. An impressive pile of twigs was visible from a distance - the artificial nest I built in 2014 is almost a meter high. The upper part of the nest is built of fresh twigs, which gives hope that the eagles will nest here. It should be noted that rock eagles have supplemented this nest with branches for several previous years, but have not yet successfully nested here. This is very good news because Spilve and her boyfriend have not moved to another swamp and are alive. So there is hope to see both eagles in the old nest. In December of this year or next year, we will also install a video surveillance system at the new socket. Keep your thumbs up for successful nesting. I will ask Maris to put some pictures with the nest."
