11:36:42 H44 flutters a twig into the nest, accompanied with delicate tones by both goshawks. :innocent:
His branch :)
Image

He has not used this direction of entry for a long time. Fine!
H21 chirps nearby. He doesn't know what he would rather do ... sort branches or call out to his female.

Image

H21 knows what to do - she calls hard and H44 rushes downstairs to her.
Definitely a pairing.

11:53:03 - 06 calls
12:03 - 04:05 mating noises in the area
12:04:48 - 53 calls

Also
12:17:58 - 18:05 a little excited

12:22:14 A crash in the tree followed by shouts
12:24:17 - 24, 33 41 12:25:13 - 20 Calls
For the first time I dare to distinguish acoustically. I think it was H21. She has a very strong and sharp voice. :dunno:

12:26:33 The goshawk leaves the tree. Clapping of wings can be heard, calls away.

12:28:00 - 07 shouts from the area, excited.

I have to go to work.

13:16:46 short call
13:16:50 Fluttering in the tree and more calls until '16
13:20:16 - 30 first the call from the tree, then a dialogue develops. :innocent:

Soft sounds follow alternately
13:20:53 There is a rustling ... the goshawk in the tree comes loose ...
.... Shouts of both goshawks in the undergrowth until 13:20:07
13:20:21 - 37 New calls that begin like pairing noises but do not end in pairing. I think.

14:40:00 Warm tones and almost at the same time H44 flutters into the nest.
Again the almost familiar direction of entry.

Shouts from both. :innocent:

Image

H44 touches a lot of branches but is completely haphazard. :rotf:
I like to see how he instinctively wants to get right whatever is important. Well, at least he has now formed a cute circle out of branches. :innocent:

16:53:00 Close calls and fluttering in the tree. The answer follows from the area.
16:53:57 - 54:05 If your ears hurt, call H21. What a voice! :rotf:
I would like to know what they are saying.
16:58:13 An H flutters in.
The screaming seemed different to me ... much and loud. It doesn't match H44. H44 is vocally the gentler of the couple. And yes. It's H21 that came into the nest. Soon I got to see the ring.
She is a very strong female. Intense and confident.

She doesn't work in the nest. Every now and then she communicates gently with H44. :innocent:
17:03:50 She's flying into the undergrowth.

17:05:32 And now H44 follows with a branch into the nest.

Image

He takes it off, chirps. Jump onto the upper branch
17:06:27 down into the undergrowth .... the thickening is too sweet.
Mating noises until 17:07:02

17:07:37 H44 back
Briefly in the nest, then on the branch.
17:09:21 out

Tomorrow morning I'll continue with today. I'm really tired.

Good night! :innocent:

They continue at a good pace, there are already sticks in the nest and a bowl is being made (the male is the one that contributes mainly), they also continue to mate.

The female is taking on a more aggressive tone , sometimes being very close to him, it seems that she is going to "eat" anyone. And he's like it's not the thing with him.

As for the differentiation of sounds, it is normal that from listening to them so much one gets an ear. I think it affects the distance , It is not the same to have them almost together that one of them is far away (it seems that the same individual sounds different). They also have different tones for each situation. Sometimes it seemed that I already had them distinguished by sound and soon it failed me.

Good evening and we are still there learning.

Emiliano :hi:
It's nice to see this couple strengthen their bond. Sometimes it's just a touch, a little something, but they continue to grow together step by step.

After H44 left the nest at 17:09:21 ...
17:10:21 he was already coming back. Slightly diagonally in the landing but sure.
H44 tugs at the branches and jumps onto the upper branch.
It's a quiet visit.
17:12:20 H44 leaves the branch.

18:52:52 H21 stumbles sideways into the nest.
I can't see any ring during the visit. I conclude from optics and acoustics that it is H21.
She seems a bit restless, hunted. H21 is very attentive. But maybe I'm misinterpreting.
18:53:37 She leaves the nest.
Call at 18:54:54 - 59

05:41:35 Something lands on a nearby branch
05:49:39 Calls removed
Also
06:29:02 - 06
06:35:47
Thank you Emiliano !!!

13:12:02 - 10 Actually, the first sign of a Goshawk for today.
He approaches during the calls, and is probably sitting in the tree now.

13: 15: 28/29 crow
13:15:28 - 33 Goshawk

13:16:09 Both Goshawk and Crow

13:17:43 - 48 Goshawk
13:19:20 - 24 Goshawk 13:19:23 crow

'Arm wrestling'.
I find the crows annoying sometimes, but - they are brave.

13:26:21 - 37 The goshawk in the tree begins to call. Two goshawks call for the end.

Short, soft tones from time to time ... :innocent:

13:30:48 The goshawk away begins to call gently ... 'Gjaks' ... It increases.
13:30:50 Both H's are getting louder ... It took me something to reach my conclusion - it was a pairing until 13:31:25. :slap: :rotf:

13:47:24 H44 chirps into the nest.
He doesn't move much, quickly jumps up on the upper branch and sits there ... :innocent:

13:49:01 H21 calls and H44 follows immediately. :D

Mating until 13:49:24.

And again ...

18:31:25 There is a crack in the tree and shouts can be heard.
Tender calls ... H44 18:31:42 in the nest.

Both call - seagulls too.

He doesn't do much. Touches sticks and chirps at the same time as H21. :innocent:
18:32:40 H21 is asking for something.
18:32:48 He follows the demanding calls from H21 very quickly.
No pairing at first - it stays silent.

At the bottom left you can see how one of the H's flies into the undergrowth. (18:35:11)
18:35:14 Only now pairing.

Thanks everyone for information! The activities of our H's are currently not cooperative with my working hours. Every timestamp is worth its weight in gold.

Sleep well! :2thumbsup:

While I let the end and actually want to (must) end ...
19:32:38 - 51 mating noises in the area

Our H's are silent for a long time, but we can hear their pairings.

Now .... :offtobed:

April 16th

Early calls almost in the dark, the H's seem to spend the nights in the area. That pleases me.
Sometimes they are hours, days not noticing that I am afraid they would look for another place. It doesn't seem like that. :loveshower:

I combine many small timestamps into one:
05:38:35 - 41:56 Lots of different calls from loud to soft, both H's to hear.

05:42:07 H44 lands in the nest.
No ring to be seen but the Goshawk is delicate and fidgety - H44. He quickly jumps onto the upper branch.
05:43:17 - 25 H21 calls vigorously
05:43:36 H44 follows their calls and leaves the nest.

To hear tender sounds ...

Calls
05:49:30 - 37
05:50:35 - 38
05:51:10 - 17, '28, '41
05:52:18 - 23

The calls continue ...
"Throw your heart across the river and swim after it."

08:18 The woodpecker is drumming, the Jay croaking, birds are singing ... quiet morning sound
08:18:50 The first crows can be heard and then the wave breaks.
Gosh, what's going on.
08:19:56 in the middle of the crowing, a sound of a goshawk can be heard very gently (even though he's close), like a 'gjak'
Then suddenly it seems to be quiet but let's wait ...Often the crows just spread and lurk silently.

08:23 They jump through branches, croak and rattle
08:23:51 They have spotted something and are chasing after it

08:27:32 - 39
08:28:01 - 06 Clear close calls of the Goshawk

08:29:24 - 28 Goshawk

But listen to the sound in '24! I've never heard this sound like this in a Goshawk!

Once again:
08:30:04 - 10 (in '04)

08:32:34 - 40 Call
08:34:11 - 18 too
"Throw your heart across the river and swim after it."

08:43:14 - 21 Call again with the drawn out beginning.

And the crows are still there too.

08:43:57 - 44:04 The first note is drawn again.

Emiliano ???? :help:

08:44:49 - 55 too
08:45:38 - 43 The Goshawk uses this tone again.
He seems to be moving.

Calls
08:46:41 - 45
08:47:15 -20

It feels strange right now. One of our H's is very close, but it also sounds like crows are jumping through the tree. 08:48:10 - 14 Goshawk calls and moves away.
Likewise the crow calls.

"Throw your heart across the river and swim after it."

They're coming back - everyone, Goshawk and Crows.
08:52:55 - 59 Call

Quiet ... probably not for long. :dunno:

09:04/05

While this crow pokes in the nest, its cronies fly around outside.

09:06:27 - 32 Goshawk calls
09:07:00 A crow is still jumping around in the tree.

09:13:40 - 44 call
09:14:15 - 23 The call of the goshawk is partly obscured by the loud crows.
All move away.
09:15:47 (!) - 50 This drawn out first tone again
09:17:16 -21 call
09:17:30, '31 Two short shrill calls, then continue calling until '37

Goshawk and crows are back on the tree.

It's exhausting to listen today. This sound of the crows is grueling in the long run. :slap:
