May 31st

A good day ...

My prayers from yesterday have been fulfilled.
Food was taken from the nest and fresh branches brought.

I rewinded as far as I can and I see good moments. :innocent:

Time to enjoy this day ... our H's without the up and down of the timer and contributions. The minis are well fed, have freedom outside of the nest bowl and the sun and warmth accompany this family.

At least for today and until now there are no wishes unfulfilled. :2thumbsup:

(H44 not only feeds his family well. His harvest is splendid!) :innocent:

They continue to feed at a good pace throughout the day because the prey is not lacking, within a week when they begin to remove the cannons of the pens and these are coming out, the energy demand will be much higher.

Yeah, I'm already holding my breath. I remember from last year that the season will be very short ... everything goes so quickly with them.

June 2nd

Today again an update ...

05:08:14 H21 leaves the nest 05:10:18 H44 takes over.
It's warming how he gets closer to his chicks step by step.
Image

The little ones are already stretching their paddles (wings).
Image

05:13:44 H44 leaves the nest.
05:13:50 H21 back with food.

07:14 H21 gets up
Image

Feeding 07:16 - 31

A chick is already starting to snap at all of the prey.
(I think it was mini ... the youngest.)
Everyone gets bites and in the end H21 will eat the leg himself again.
Image

The minis have good harvests.

09:42:29 H44 looks through the small door into the nest.
H21 squeaks.

09:43:27 He leaves the nest again and H21's scrutinizing look follows him.

13:44:22 H21 takes off into the area.

The mini H's are pecking beaks again and picking up speed. As it should be for children to be alone at home.
Their harvests are still impressive even though the last (and so far only) feeding was hours ago.
Image

Image

13:47:13 H44 comes to the chick - sitting through the side door, but is pushed through the large exit by H21 a few seconds later.

H21 brings food and starts feeding immediately (which brings good bites for all chicks).

Feeding 13:47 - 14:02

((Too early but I think we have two girls and a boy (Mini, the youngest)).
I can’t help my thoughts. There is no right of returnif it is wrong.

16:48:16 H21 leaves the nest again by tapping the side branch.
She calls.
The bundles of joy stay cuddled together, the beaks out of service.
Image

16:52:25 - 30 Calls from H21 can be heard in the area.
16: 53: 06/07 A goshawk flies over to the center of the yellow mast. It is still unclear to me whether it is H44 or H21. My tip would have been H44.
16:53:08 - 14 H21 calls out very excited.
16:54:36 The Goshawk leaves the mast ... '40 H21 lands in the nest with food.

Okay, H21 was on the mast.

She starts feeding.

18:10 H21 cleans themselves while the chicks rest in front of her.
18:12 She gets up, eats a few bites herself, and offers somethinh the slumbering chick.
18:13 The center forward moves with interest. Right winger pulls past.
Image

Only the left wing sleeps. :D
Image

It stays that way.
18:23 H21 picks up the feed bird's leg again, but leaves the nest with it. Out of the house - food this time.

Left winger is slowly waking up.
Image

18:25:30 H21 lands in the upper branch, calls.
18:26:16 Now she drops into the nest.

This morning, so far, there hasn't been much feeding. Early in the morning and little. Hilda calls asking for food?

One of the little ones already throws his droppings.

I have not followed them in much detail and I am not sure who each of the chickens is and their sex. We will have to wait a little longer.

Correct. The bundles of joy are put on a diet in the morning.
But it doesn't hurt. The minis seem balanced and satisfied.

H21 will leave the nest several times.

04:22 Back out with the side branch knocking off. (H44 briefly in the small entrance, leaves the nest when H21 comes.)
H44

05:02 H21 out
She comes back with twig.

05:12 After H44 can be heard in the area, H21 leaves the nest one more time.
(H44 does not take over. She brings food)

07:12 out
(H44 takes over. She returns with empty claws.)

09:17 back out.
(Back with branch .... cherry laurel. :whistling: )

09:48 The chicks are calling, begging.
H21 discovers H44, which appears to be right next to the nest. Her calls are very loud ... :faint:

H44 jumps onto the side branch, leaves it again in 49:50.

09:57 Fighting and kissing on the beach of the nest.

11:06 H21 calls out loud and leaves the nest again in '07.
(In 11:12:15 H44 in, hears H21 and flutters out again immediately. 8-) )

12: 46/47 H21 looks up into the tree and calls out loudly, demanding.
12:49 also ....
H44 seems to be sitting there.
Image

12: 53: 19/20 H44 can now be heard softly in the area. The start signal. :whistling:

H21 calls out loudly and leaves the nest, meowing, into the area.
She will return with small prey.

Feeding, the first one today from 13:00 - 13:16, approximately.

Well, some 'spin service' ...
The chicks are of course euphoric but H21 feeds very hectically and in a messy way. It tears large pieces and sometimes throws them aimlessly.
I don't know who was more hungry ... mom or chick.

The harvest bags were full at the duck and it slowly became more relaxed.

14:33 H21 is very attentive.
14:34 she leaves the nest calling, continues calling in the area. Back in '36 with empty claws.

She puts on her left foot.

H21 remains very attentive afterwards, looks around a lot.
15:34 She flies into the area with a loud shout and continues to shout out loud ... demanding, begging.
I think she's hungry?

15:44 H21 returns to the nest with larger prey.
Image

I can't guess what it is.
Feeding until 16:07.

The chicks eat greedily. They would certainly have eaten longer if H21 hadn't suddenly been petrified. She sat like this for almost two minutes.

17:15 H44 sends 'Gjak' into the nest and H21 follows him into the area.
Image

17:19 H44 takes over.
Image

17:20 H21 now also comes into the nest. She brings another prey bird. Looks like it's the same kind?
Image

H44 leaves the nest and H21 feeds until '33.
