The chicks gnaw at something that came to daylight after Boka's clearing out. Whatever it is ... you better leave it? It shimmers green ... what could it be? On the other side is a discarded wing.

21:35 Boka flies to her branch from a lower position. We see the protruding feather again.
(As well as 16:30. The hawk 18:57 had no feather sticking out? Correct?)



21:38 away.

22.29 Short visit without food.


Day of change today.
Hopefully the little ones will have a safe night. It looks like they have to sleep without a blanket today.

22:43 Boka flew down from the tree. The little ones begged excitedly and Boka had trouble covering them under the chest. Now everything is good.

The day also begins for our hawks with the alarm clock.
03:50 rattles an alarm system. When the 03:54 is repeated, Boka gets up at 03:56. Button eye still sleeps like a big one with his head between the wings. :)

05:39 is definitely the start of the day. Boka jumps on her branch. Behind her, the chick's low voices.

Thought at first Boka was maybe eating eggs but not sure , she definitely dug deep, her head and neck disappeared completely!

07:26 Boka comes back with breakfast. Bigger bird, chicken?


The little ones eat again with a lot of passion.


Little one slips back into the nest bowl, but is too greedy to go back to Boka. The chick just jumps the distance.

Button's eye chops on his mother's beak if it takes too long for him.


Meanwhile 07:51 The chicks withdraw. The harvests are full. Boka is somewhat indecisive. She keeps eating the rest of the food and putting it down again and offering it to her chicks. A few chunks are still being taken.


This green and blue shimmer is still in the nest. Does anyone have any idea what that is?

Boka's plumage has changed (recovered?) Since she no longer sits permanently on her chick.
She looks gorgeous and beautiful again ... slim ( nearly). No longer like an exploded pillow.


Boka doesn't leave the nest. She stays with her chicks.

Good Morning

I don't really have an explanation for that either. I was scared yesterday, today it looked less stressed. Although at 09:09 Boka almost threw her chicks over the edge. She pulled on a weave at the bottom of the nest floor, lifting the whole nest.

09:15 Boka comes back with an oak branch. She puts it down at the button eye and goes to the other side of the nest. Boka looks a bit nervous.

Little one goes to his older sibling, tugs him gently on the beak and lightly on the down, and lies close to him. Probably they find their mother sectarian today.

09:39 Boka pulls the rest of the feed from the nest's edge. The little one snatches it from her first, then it is taken away by the button eye. Boka takes it from the brawlers and feeds it.

Well ... I often wrote that Boka hissed him away. Now we have the answer why we can no longer see Lui. It is not only because of the overpowering of the chicks but also that Boka Lui no longer accepts in the nest.

He is a touching father ... He knows that he is undesirable. Nevertheless, it comes to the nest and discards food. Why? Because of the presence of the crows? Does his instinct say that Boka has to stay with the chicks instead of flying out to get food? Is it a wish to take care of the chicks?
