Today I would like to bring in yesterday's day.
I'm sorry ... with a delay. I have a lot of work on duty at the moment.

But it was a good day ... :innocent:

July 16th

I fell asleep a bit restless the night before.
It made me think that I saw both parents almost at the same time but only two of the minis. Where was the third teenager? I rummaged through my mind and began to resign myself to the fact that we may have lost one by now.
It seemed impossible to me that it is already somewhere alone and does not appear in the nest when everyone else is there. Also not to be heard ....

Let's go
. :innocent:

From 04:52:15 first nagging in the territory.
I hear at least two of the juveniles.

04:53 The first appears.
And there are definitely two other voices out there.

I was very reassured.

It appears to be the boy ... with the 'V' in the tail feathers. :innocent:

There is silence until 05:09 ... nothing happens.

Not until 05:45 do I hear begging calls again.
05:47 One of the juveniles lands on the side branch ... jumps into the nest and pecks in the nest.
In fact, there appear to be small edible leftovers.

This young mini doesn't wear a 'V'.

05:48 ... and away.

06:25 Crows rattling.
... and start hearing the calls of our minis. :innocent:

06:30 Well hidden in the pixel area but still caught - a mini sneaks up on it.

Then it's quick.

H21 actually seems to be around her children and so soon all four are in the nest. :loveshower:

Little by little, the nest and branches empty ... all of them fly towards the industrial site.

The day is thin ... nothing happens.

In the evening, as almost usual by now, everyone becomes hungry and active again.

20:49 A juvenile can be heard.
He flies calling between the nest and the terrain. It is good to hear.

The camera bounces ...

20:51 Between the clamor, H44 can be heard. :innocent:
The calls come and go in waves. And apparently it's all three minis again!

20:53 Quiet ....
Feeding? :whistling:

21:00 It sounds like feed alarm again.
....and kikiki in between.

What is happening?

21:05 The minds are not calming down yet.
21:07 The youth are obviously still dissatisfied.

Or there is other unrest.

21:20 H21 calls kikiki
21:32 the calls continue ... the Juvenile is shouting in the area.

22:08 A Mini lands on the upper branch, flutters into the nest and dances.
A second one also seems to be in the tree. His calls can be heard.

Image

22:10 The young person in the nest leaves the tree.

22:16 .... the youth have no curfew.
Those who live there have the pleasure of being accompanied to sleep by their nagging.

July 17th

Well, today I just looked through it roughly. I'm not long after work.
All I can say is that I heard 05:26 begging calls.

And right now I heard kikiki from H21.

19:23 - 26 Yes, kikiki.

19:11 Begging calls from first one, later two young people.

I will see further.

We have three male minis ???

:rotf: :rotf:

My goodness!!!!
I suspected two but all of them ? I have to translate it a few more times ... though I haven't even finished yet. To wipe eyes and be sure.
All are male ?

I can not believe it! I can not stop grinning!

Well the rings seem to have an L. I'm confused about this. :puzzled:
I think I recognized an H very well. Unfortunately, I can almost never make these rings clear.

And unfortunately I have to split the article up to translate ... that creates errors.

If there is a good knowledge of Latvian from a reading member - I would be very happy about a complete translation. To be sure that you have understood everything correctly.

Hi Polly. :hi:

Thanks for the article Liz01

I have read it through the translator.
That nest is not the one with the camera, although I don't think it's very far. The tree and other data do not match.

This morning the chickens were already ringing soon, after 5 o'clock.

According to various sources consulted, the maximum nesting population of goshawks in Riga must have been achieved back in 1995 and since then it must have been changing with fluctuations but downward. The number must be from something more than 20 to 50, which are given elsewhere.

Greetings

Emiliano :2thumbsup:

Really nice to see you! Thanks!

I was somehow suspicious too.

So let's roll the dice again.
Although neither rings nor names are explicitly important to me ... even gender just seems interesting to me.
I would have been surprised if two large ones were actually males.

Best regards!

20:48 Oha, energetic voice in the tree.

Very close to the nest. I think H94. A feeling ... strong voice is often H94.

Another voice in the area.

Just when it was about to lie down comfortably, a sibling whined in the area.
