06:42:45 H44 flutters up into the nest from below. H21 noticed him before.

This is followed by kisses, moving sticks together and screeching ... yes, H21 screeching barely audible. Like a swing. I'm not sure I've heard from her before.
H44 plucks her feathers again and I have the impression that H21 is gently asking him to leave.

Image

06:47 Crows caw around the tree ...

Image

H44 can't make up his mind to leave the nest.
06:48:37 Now

No change but a lot of affection. :innocent:

6 minutes - long but nice to see and hear.

Until the next visit, H21 will often change its position, but also doze off ... sleep. :innocent:

10:21:06 H44 flutters through the small entrance into the nest.
H21 initially seems unimpressed, but then gets up and the usual little rituals follow.

Image

From 10:22:40 onwards both follow something in sync. ..it looks good.

No more sounds. It appears the observation is ongoing.

10:23:20 H44 leaves the nest with a quiet 'gjak'.
No more calls from outside this time

10:23:50 H44 is already very far away.
If I am correct and interpret the sounds correctly. These can hardly be heard.

10:49:10 - 19 H21 calls out loudly in the direction of the area.
No reaction from H44
Image

12: 47: 01/02 Only faint calls. H44?
Probably because H21 reacts immediately. She listens, gets up and leaves the nest with loud calls.

Further calls follow in the area

12:48:14 And H44 takes over.
He obediently reports his arrival and will soon cover the eggs. :innocent:
Image

Image
13:21 He's sleepy. His eyes keep falling.

13:41:42 H21 jumps and flutters through the tree.
Both H's communicate gently with each other.

13:42:42 Now H21 comes into the nest.

Image

A short, simple change.
13:43:03 H44 leaves the nest, calls.

H21 sat for a long time.
Calls from H44 from the area
17:15, '57 18:30

H21 is cleaning her feather , starts calling.
18:31 H44 stumbles into the nest and brings something with me. :puzzled:
At first I thought of bark. He gnaws at it and chirps encouragingly to her. As if he wanted to show her what to do with it. Then both begin to pluck at it.

I can now see that it is probably leaves. A bunch of leaves.
H21 picks it up and spreads the leaves in the nest.

It cracks and H44 checks immediately. He looks very pretty.
Image

18:33 H44 leaves the nest again and H21 continues to build.

19:45 H21 gets up, stretches and goes to the edge of the nest.
She lingers there a little, loosens her feathers a little (also Ps?).

Then it leaves the nest with a short hop over the side branch.
No calls as usual. :puzzled:

19:44 H44 takes over. :innocent:

However, H21 doesn't take much time.
19:53 H21 comes back to the nest over 2 floors. She perfects the gift of leaves from H44 and now brings a piece of bark with her. H21 pushes itself almost over H44 and wants to insert the bark immediately.

Image

Image

Accordingly, a short change. 8-)

19:54 H44 leaves the nest steeply downwards.
At least he doesn't forget to call out.

From tomorrow only random reports. End of vacation.

May 4 th

4:55:56 to 5:06:23

Male calls from outside, female gets up and leaves the nest, calls something.

Male to nest (4:58:31), incubates less than five minutes, as the female hatches again. There are contact calls between the two. The male leaves (5:03:26) calling something from outside.

5:50:23 to 5:55:29

The male returns to the branch and to the nest (5:50:23), there are contact calls, the female gets up but lies down again. She makes some sounds that she hadn't made before and the male leaves
(5: 55.14) to call something from outside.

She makes some sounds that she hadn't made before...
Hello Emiliano :hi:
These sounds are not entirely new. I reported about it here, with video.

I got the impression that H44 saw it as important to be seen in a defensive position. :puzzled:
05:48:39 Here two crows began to croak.
05:49:19 - 31 One could now be heard loud and close. H21 followed her with her eyes.

08:46 H21 chases another bird with its head, which apparently completely circles the nest once.
08:47 H44 lands above her in the nest tree. He remains hidden. But both greet each other.
:innocent:
08:47 H21 gets up, kicks the balls a little clumsily several times. But she moves very lightly ... no harm to the eggs.

Image

It stretches ... it's a beautiful sight.

08:48 H21 leaves the nest steeply downwards.
08:48:42 H44 lands in the nest, calls out loud. His shift is short. :whistling:
08: 51H21 is already back...usual delicate rituals.

08:52:45 H44 leaves the nest.

09:42 ... H21 has still hidden her head under the wings. ... even in '47
09:48:59 She gets up, almost suddenly. Chirps softly and leaves the nest steeply down.
I couldn't clearly hear if she called. If so, then only quietly.

Image

Just a few seconds later, H44 comes into the nest.

Image

H21 does not give him the nest for ten minutes.
09:57 she is back.

Obligatory dear plucking of feathers. :innocent:

Emiliano, you mentioned their different eyes.
I've also noticed it for a long time, but I can't define it.

Sometimes I think that H21 has more adult eyes with a deep yellow. Then again I think it just makes the iris look different.
I always hope for a situation for a picture in which both are looking in the same direction and the light is the same. :dunno:

Today there was the moment and - both look the same. :rotf: Crazy.

Another interesting moment (for me anyway) ...
11:18:13 H44 calls from the area.
11:18:25 H21 begins to observe something
11:18:30 H44 can be seen flying out of the group of trees towards the industrial area. At that moment a crow rushes out of the tree in the same direction. The crow makes a sound ... the bright calls of H44 can also be heard.
H44 comes back into the tree - both H's communicate with each other.
11:19 H44 is now entering the nest.
11:20:25 H21 leaves the nest.

Crow and change

11:28:48 H21 flies from the industrial area into the group of trees on the left. Of course, H44 has discovered his female and follows her with his eyes.
11:36 H21 back in the nest. She brings a green green branch with her. While H21 moves the twig into the nest, H44 dances around her, chirping sweetly.

11:38 Time for H44 to leave the nest.

13:16:26 H44 announces itself with calls.
H21 accepts the offer and leaves the nest a minute later.

Image

13:33:26 H21 is back. She lands a little awkwardly ... pushes and pushes H44 some of the eggs.

Image

However, H44 doesn't give up that easily. He just stays in the nest at the edge of the nest for a while at H21.

Image

13:35:34 Now he's leaving the nest.

15:28:16 H21 gets up and leaves the nest again directly.
And their calls can also be heard later or hardly at all.

15:30:42 H44 is in a hurry to the nest.
He'll stay in one position until H21 comes back. She does that in 16:00:33. She brings a dry branch with her.

This change is not filled with benefits. Fast and practical. :whistling:
