Meanwhile they can fly all 3 and often the nest is empty. When a parent comes with prey, however, only 2 of the children come. The 3. I never see. I hope nothing happened to him.
One of them has done in nest grasping and hitting exercises. The learning object was a small bird. Then it has eaten the bird.

Today all 3 were back in the nest. One of them is very adventurous and long on the road.

Aigars Kalvans informed that C55 was ringed this summer, in Zaķusala, in Riga

As you have noticed, since the autumn we have no opportunity to watch the Riga Goshawk nest - the problem is that we can no longer receive current from the constant source of electricity that we have connected to. The restoration of the power supply has been promised several times (now mentioned in March), but there is no guarantee that it will happen. Consequently, we intend to provide alternative energy source batteries, similar to systems that are far from civilization. The only difference will be that here the energy will not be produced locally (i.e. solar panels will not be used) and the batteries will need to be replaced on a regular basis (once a week or two).
As the season is approaching and there is little left for the weather system, a small call to camera watchers from Riga: we are looking for volunteers who would be ready to take charge of the battery of this camera. What's needed is the physical strength of lifting the battery (weighing about 50 kg each) - since the car can literally come in, no large pieces need to be worn, just how much to pick it up from the car and put it back; place (utility room or garage with electrical connection), where to charge the batteries, and time to devote to this whole process. Provide two battery packs and a charger.
It's possible that this process will not last long (if the power supply is restored), but for safety reasons one should expect it to be done by autumn.
As the holding of cameras has grown considerably in recent years (two more this year), and maintenance of it requires more and more time and resources; support for volunteering is very helpful to us.
If you are ready to enter this camera, write to janis.kuze@ldf.lv.

Iespējams, ka šis process nebūs jāturpina ilgi (ja elektrības padeve tiek atjaunota), tomēr drošības labad vajadzētu rēķināties ar to, ka tas būs jādara līdz rudenim.
Tā kā kameru saimniecība mums pēdējos gados ir ievērojami izaugusi (šogad nāks klāt vēl divas) un tās uzturēšana prasa arvien vairāk laika un resursu, atbalsts brīvprātīgā darba veidā mums ļoti noderētu.
Ja esat gatavi iesaistīties šīs kameras uzturēšanā, rakstiet uz janis.kuze@ldf.lv.

How I understood It may be that Margo and MrY chose a different nest. We have to wait and see...
There is no way to bring the equipment to another nest. It's already breeding season. It must not be disturbed.

No. This isn't MrY. Probably young male in second calendar year.
