This goshawk nest is located in a pine parcel near Riga - and is one of the oldest and probably the largest known nests of this bird. Built on the top of an impressive pine of about 150-200 years old, reaching a height of about 1.5 meters.
The area has been known since 1993, when the hen of a hen nested about 200 meters away. The nest we are now observing was built in the next or next year, so we can assume it is over 20 years old. Pigeons and gulls previously found around the nest indicate that the nest owners do not specialize in just one game object.

Info from Janis K. on Goshawk- and brook cameras.
The Goshawk camera will soon be "revived" to observe movements in the nest.
If there is no movement there, the camera will be given to another place this season.
The lamprey camera will be online again this year.
