We will leave this topic open over the weekend, hoping someone will think of more questions!
It will be closed late on Monday, translated into Estonian and passed to Tiit Hunt, then re-translated back to English and posted here.

Thanks, everyone, for your continued interest.
A very simple question but the answer might be most important in case of..
How to behave if you are alone and you should meet a wolf and how if there are more wolves??

T.H.:

When the wolf came in my direction until it was only 10-20 m away, I stood still and did nothing, and he simply changed his direction and went away. I think that it is not sensible to run somewhere, instead stay in place and keep eye contact with the wolf, and observe his behaviour. If something seems wrong, it may help to make loud noises with whatever means, for instance a whistle. A healthy wolf as a rule does not attack in the conditions here. It may be different in Siberia where the wolf packs are large and from time to time do attack people.

Jo, a Dutch cabaret artist made a song conc. wolves, about 1974, it was very wellknown in Holland, I must say I do not believe in all these bad-wolf stories but the story shows very convincing the anxiety most people have conc. wolves.

Russian family in troika on their way to Omsk, father and mother and 4 children. Igor, plays the violin, Natasja, behaves well at school, Sonja has a beautiful alto, and small Pjotr. Family is singing merrily but suddenly they are followed by hungry wolves. Distance to Omsk still 100 verst! Father decides to sacrifice his children and his wife to the wolves, hoping to arrive in Omsk safe. City is in sight, father makes a leap of joy in the air, loses balance and is prey for the wolves too! Last sentence: That's bad luck! Omsk is a beautiful city, but a little too far!

Tiit, have you seen documentary film "A Man Among Wolves" or heard about Shaun Ellis and what is your opinion about his experiment?
