Ural Owls have a size of ~54-61 cm, males are a bit smaller and weigh ca. 700 g, females up to a 1000 g.
Wingspan is 115 - 125 cm.
We can expect 2-6 eggs, in an interval of 2-3 days. Eggs are in size of a small chicken egg, weight ~50 g.
Breeding period is 27-29 days. Only the female is on the eggs, male´s task is to hunt for food and provide the family.
Owlets stay in the nest for 34-35 days, then leave and parent owls feed them for about two more months outside.

Last week while installing the webcam there were small feathers of some owl at the nestbox entrance and sawdust outside of the nestbox so somebody have been there. Will see if and when owls visit the nestbox. Ural Owls usally start to breed in the end of March.
