LOL
Heloise, I am laughing out loud with your pictures!
P, the lightning bird, is such an adorable, mischievous and playful storklet. 😂
Totally her mother!

Why is the picture so blurry? Did any of the chicks clean the camera again today? :innocent:

Thank you @Heloise! :D It was so impressive that I had to laugh a lot. P is little Kaia
Of course we don't know if P is also a female. But why shouldn't a male be so spirited too?

T can hardly be disturbed and U annoys P's temperament.

Many thanks @ Anne7
There was a lot going on here (Berlin) today, so that I couldn't follow the camera very well in the afternoon.

Feedings:

09:47 Karl II
11:05 Kaia

Thank you very much, Anne7 and Swenja!

It was really a nice, funny and interesting Sunday

Our chicks no longer have to lie down to sleep... They also sleep while standing like parents. There they stand...

Good night, sleep well!

Good night to everyone still sitting at the computer...
A beautiful day, beautiful descriptions of this day. Thank you all - what beautiful photos... and observations!

P is really very active. Saddled both relatives at the same time... Where has this been seen! And he trained so much today and was on the branch. He is a hyperactive restless chicken from birth! Bravo! Today, he demonstrates his power to the older chick much more often than to the younger one...

The younger one also jumped very, very high today. The brothers were not afraid of today's wind, they trained hard.

My opinion: the older one seemed calmer today.

About today's beauty of nature - what beautiful fogs in the forest... and how unusual is the wind coming from afar, it gradually increases the strength and sound from about 11.27.... the nest is well located. Pine trees protect it.

About the camera: There is only one piece of the camera not licked by the chicks-on the right, there the images are sharp... right here:
Image

apparently, it is utopia to hope for a sharp - image...

Swenja, your early observations are invaluable. Anne 7, Heloise, how well you were on duty at the nest from lunch until the evening! What wonderful moments... My photos only repeat yours... there is not even anything to supplement it with. You are so good.
Good night! :offtobed:

Good morning.

Since 07.40.01, the average chick is trying to dismantle the camera.... his beak is again cluttering the camera, knocking on the microphone.

Will he leave a chance to see the nest and all who are in it?

There is a fuss in the nest from the very morning - a vague, unconscious anxiety, a desire to do the incredible... the chicks endlessly walk around the nest, flapping their wings. The middle one is especially active.

07: 55 the middle one tries to take the fluff out of the younger one's beak...
Image

07:56 junior's efforts. Its black wing is clearly visible. There is practically no fluff.

07:57 while others are cleaning their feathers, the average does not leave the idea to disassemble the camera...
Image

from about the same time, a bird flies and screams near the nest... peregrine falcon? The chicks are not particularly worried about this, but they listen from time to time.
At 08.04, this bird flew away.

08:25 junior took a strong position at the camera
Image
the average 716P looked at us several times from behind his back...

08: 30 the rain starts.
08: 31 the chicks see something in the sky, their eyes are glued to the sky.
Image
but no - this is not breakfast... perhaps their parents are calling them from the nest? Our chicks are probably not hungry enough to look for food... and they are again busy with the usual tasks in the nest-digging the bottom of the nest, examining the forest, cleaning the feathers... the falling rain has calmed their desire to flap their wings and they just passively live in the nest.

08:58 the rain continues
09: 14 the middle one is patiently standing at the observer's post on the right. His thoughts about breakfast.... the rain prevents him from making a decision about flights...
09:18:06 старшей птичке скучно... но средний солдат на посту...little by little, the glasses of the transmitters are also cleaned in other chicks... maybe the rains will finally wash away all traces of their fears of meeting people...
Image
I don't think I missed anything, sometimes walking away from the camera?
The chicks are still without breakfast.
It's raining.
They stand silently in the nest.
09: 29 it's so strange, but in this rain, the voice of a bird of prey is heard again, which the chicks have not been afraid of for a long time...
09:30 The PS of the older chick is not great.
09: 33 a small bird is squeaking near the nest, which means that birds of prey are far away... The rain is making a noise in the forest, you can see the transparent milky curtain of rain, you can hear its rustle... the barking of a large dog was not heard for long...
09:38 and now everything is quiet, only the sound of rain...
