Anne7: I suppose that the herons found this feeding site since then...
Unfortunately, it looks a lot like it.

Feedings:
12:55 Karl II
13:11 Kaia
17:46 Karl II

Thank you very much everyone!
I hope Udu can fly tomorrow, and maybe Pikne too.
They still need to have some flying experience and with a lot of luck they find additional food.

Good night!

Good evening, everyone!

Thank you for all contributions today!

Heloise, Swenja, Tatiana and Balistar, many thanks for the wonderful pictures and videos. :2thumbsup:

Heloise, it is a delight to read and see your documentation.

I received a reply from Urmas this early afternoon saying that it is perfectly OK to share his information and images on the forum.

He also wrote that the fish cage is obviously not always filled.
Urmas had put some 70 small fish in it.
"Karl ate almost all at once of 70 small fish yesterday morning. I brought another 60 last evening. Karl did not visit place, yet."

Image

"But Kaia (most probably) is there for second time today."

Image

"Don't know if there in cage was enough fish to fly and feed chicks.
Actually I can't see fish in cage, anymore .
Need to look if something in fish trap in my home pond."

Image

Thank you so much for all your work and endless dedication, Urmas!
We are very grateful to you.

Good night everyone!

BS chicks need to be raised on the nest by their parents.
Storklets that are fed and raised by humans for whatever reason, in captivity, will have even less chance of survival if released than storklets that grew up in a natural way.
I suspect that these 'rescued' storklets will only survive in a zoo or animal park.
(Possibly there have been a few exceptions.)
Anne, please source -thanx in advance
