Swenja, this pic is for you
Big thanks @Heloise
Tuul is the conqueror of the curved branch!

Thanks everyone for the beautiful pictures, interesting posts and comments.

It had long been clear to me that someone had helped with Karl II Food. Especially recently.
So many fish of the same size  and such short feeding times.
It's a good thing and I want to thank everyone who made the Karl II family have such a successful season. Big thanks to the supporters!

Thank you @ Anne7 for the photos, articles and reports.
I think what the food looks like and tastes like the juvenile black storks know from their parents' feedings.
So the youngsters will spend a lot of time looking for it themselves. Instinct is to be vital.

I am so glad that Karl II and Kaia fed the youngsters.

Finally!
...
What did he bring? Are there small fish on the nest floor? :puzzled:

Nice pile of fish, I think
...
Kaia, you are a champ of a young mother :loveshower:
The shy little princess of yore exceeds our expectations by far: showing us what a caring and reliable mother she is

13:11:49 Kaia, the responsible young mother, is still here - coming to feed her storklets with whatever she finds

Yes, also Kaia brought fish, and even two piles, like Karl II

13:12:03 first pile

13:12:14 these fish could be those 'nine-spined sticklebacks'
- but i'm not quit sure, maybe someone can confirm ?

Image

EDIT: since the so far two fish deliveries were not the largest, we have to assume that the competitors like herons have already discovered the places with additional feeding and they have most likely decimated the supply.

Kaia was greeted with concentrated wings power last feeding.
In the nest, too, the wings pushed her back and forth. Hopefully she'll come back to the nest with some food.

A little "jumping show" by Pikne this morning at 08:24 (sorry for the bad quality, but, you know, s/he is Pikne 8-) )
S/he stood on the curved branch again (earlier at 07:22:06)
I wanted to check again and scrolled back. Everything went very fast...

Image

S/he jumped off the branch...

... and run and jumped again...

... and then s/he landed on the sibling's back (?)... (it was a little behind the scenes) and stepped aside...

17:46 feeding Karl II :D
There wasn't a lot of food.

There were 4 fish.

Image

Tuul and Udu fought over fish. Tuul won and ate. Pikne ate 2 fish.

Image

Tuul also ate the last fish at the end which was on Pikne's legs.

Image

Udu got nothing? Is that why he was so upset and fluttering through the nest?
I think Udu want to fly now?
