.
The male birds reach Estonia by the beginning of April, even before the snow and ice have melted and the female birds follow a week or two later. During the period 1987 – 1996, the earliest date of sighting was March 16th, the average arrival time was March 30 ... Since Estonia is situated on the northern border of the black stork habitat, not all male birds find mates here. (https://www.kotkas.ee/species/black-stork)

btw. female Tiina arrived to the nest on April 18 in 2013

These sounds could be generated by a roe deer male :) .

12:50:16 - arrived calling, flew out at 12:55:52

Image

13:57:08 stork flew in and is very, very excited (like Sunday - 18.04.) - he flew in and out more times and calls, calls with fanned white tail feathers
14:09:36 our lonely male flew definitely away from the nest

Yes, our black stork really looks a little excited today.
Would the bride finally come?

April 21
Hello everyone :hi:

nothing new, only the dry twig moved in front of the camera lens

stork was not so busy as the previous days - our male flew out only few times, returned to the nest once with the moss and once with one twig (if I missed nothing), delivery was always from the unusual left side (eastern)

Image

Image

only once I heard him calling (all arrivals were quiet)
