12:21:06 - adult stork in, Janika (for sure - in my opinion)
- feeding: all ate but what
12:21:30 adult stork out, Janika
12:21:17
12:21:26 what kind of food she regurgitated?

Good day all
Solo, thank you for the morning overview and that Jan and Janika have been on the nest with food.
Besides the eye area I liked the way she pointed her beak upwards before leaving.
Forecast is that it will be slighly raining today, more on Friday.

Jan for sure.
Nothing could be seen what he brought beacuse of the very bright sunlight but considering the time he took to regurgitate most probably big fish this time.
Jan took off in his usual way. I understand that it is no evidence but they still seem to leave in a different way.

Solo, great shots of "our" storklets!
I have been watching the nests for a long time but have never seen the ring numbers fading and getting illegible in such a short time.
The strong wind is the sign of the depression forcing the anticyclone with its very long drought to recede. Though I wouldn't like the storklets to get wet but the food will be easier to find for the parents.

who know what they see near the nest:
Liz - nest in Sigulda: "It's not the first time I've seen them react in that way to a squirrel. Could it be that they "mix up" it with a marten? They also do not distinguish whether it is a dangerous bird of prey such as a hawk or a white tailed eagle. They also respond to buzzard, honey buzzard, and so on. And these are not a threat to them." (https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 96#p819796)
summer rain is no longer a danger for them (without hail, not prolonged and not accompanied by cold)
with food-sources it is questionable, at first rains can cause rising levels in streams and muddy water (no good for fishing) and only later will new food appear due to rain
