What a relief!
Sure Jan must have read that we were worried he didn't bring any peat moss but he did! Clever Jan! And in addition to it also fish! Super dad Jan!
Peat moss or Sphagnum (two important extract sentences from Wikipedia):
"Accumulations of Sphagnum can store water, since both living and dead plants can hold large quantities of water inside their cells; plants may hold 16 to 26 times as much water as their dry weight, depending on the species."
"Sphagnum moss has also been used for centuries as a dressing for wounds, including through World War I. Since it is absorptive and extremely acidic, it inhibits growth of bacteria and fungi, so it is used for shipping seeds and live plants."

The absence of Janika for two days and Jan's sole feeding makes anxious again.

I wasn't happy that no 1 got both. During the tug-of-war for the second one I wanted no 2 to have it for equity. Good thing is that they all had pieces of the soft fish.
Jan evidently had been fishing and 'gathered' the fish in his crop for a longer period time.
It's a miracle that the hungry storklets don't break his bill or injure him anyhow.

15:52:35b hard fight
15:52:45 №1 fought hard (he had the back part in his beak)
15:52:51 again №1 is the winner

once one thrives, sometimes another - e.g. in three days, I think, it will be maybe again equally
