Yes, it's okay
Päike has put all the energy into the muscles to defeat Karula, now she had to build up fat reserves!
Päike and Karl, Bon voyage
What should Karl clean up here?

The nest is in very good condition. This year Karula was last in the nest and Karl had to hurry before.

Maybe it was Karula's turn to "clean" the nest this year?
And it's very fine that we finally got news from Päike, now I can believe
that the stork-season here in Karula-forest has ended.
So, I wish luck and safe journey for little Päike!

The season is over, unfortunately!
Thanks to Urmas, Looduskalender and all those who made it possible to follow Karl, Kati and the chicks.
It was a great season.
I hope we all will see in the birdmap for many years. That is a big wish, I hope it will be fulfilled.
Thanks to Anne7 for sharing knowledge. I really enjoyed it.

Even though Karl's family is now on the road, there are still a few things to see and hear in the camera - a few other little visitors.
Yesterday and today there was a nuthatch at the nest and a crested tit and another bird, but I could not see it properly. The day before yesterday in the evening you could hear deer barking.
Of course we will now see where Karl and the young storks fly and I hope we can see Karl is return next year.
Maybe we read us at another camera @Treia because the black stork camera will be switched off soon.
Freedom!

It was the best season for the last three years in this nest and especially in Lodz.Liz01 wrote: ↑August 18th, 2018, 6:27 pm The season is over, unfortunately!

watching you and our good wishes will follow you wherever you fly. Thank you Urmas and your team, for making a new nest next to the collapsed old one and giving us the privilege to watch this marvellous family. And thank you all with whom we have shared our joy and worries. I love you.

Hello,
some of you spoke about "karls book". What is it and where I can get it?
I hope Maru will find the way into the south!

This fundraising is a perfect opportunity for all of us to express our gratitude to Kotkaklubi and to give them a little help!
https://www.leetchi.com/c/support-these-wonderful-birds
In order to support Kotkaklubi, we had the idea to write – and illustrate – a popular, yet factual book about the life of black stork Karl. We have put a lot of love, time and energy into this book. A test-reader said: “It is a well-written story full of adventure, interesting facts and lovely illustrations.”
We really hope you will enjoy it too!
Anyone who donates 10 € or more will be rewarded with a free copy of this digital book.
It contains 129 double pages (spreads) and many really cute illustrations from Orinpix (Kaori).
Here is a little preview:

In this discussion I have to hold back. I have never really followed the migration. Before I say anything, I imagine from observations initially own opinion.
Of course, I use literature and experiences of others.
I read that especially young storks do not necessarily fly to Africa, but only to warmer regions.
I saw with my own eyes how fast storks are screwing upwards and then gliding over. They use the updrafts.
For this they only need very little energy.
The straight quick flight from Karula speaks for gliding. But whether it is so, I personally do not recognize from the data.
Neither can I assess how Maru progresses.
Let us observe what happens. Without constant worries, but with the certainty that storks have inhabited our earth for a very long time. They have to manage the migration on their own.
The man-made problems are known.

Maybe Maru found a good place with much food and stays there by now.

Check your SPAM folder. The mail contained links, and many mail systems mark those as spam, especially when they come from a previously unknown sender.
I can see you in the contributors list, so you should definitely be getting one.

The book about Karl is just wonderful, I enjoy reading it and now I follow imigration of Karl and his family to the south. This summer has been my first one on Looduskalender, just amazing at first to see little eaglet Sulvi to grow up in The Nest and fly to the freedom, and now these youngsters in their first adventure. Thank you all people who make it possible to follow these wonderful animals! Safe journey, all birds, making just incredible imigrations twice a year Hope you, christzy, find your book!
