17.09.19 Today we were visited by a small bird. She was in the nest for a long time - I watched her from 08.22.20 to 08.28.35
it is similar to the bird that I saw in the nest skop 09.09.19, but different:

If this bird was in England I would have to say it is a robin.

beautiful bird, Robin (the name sounds latin in russian - "Malinovka" from the word raspberry- "malina"), she scared another bird the name sounds latin in russian: "Sinitsa" (Chickadee-translator can not accurately translate). People love these birds and feed in the winter in cities and towns :
there is a saying about the bird-tit: a tit in the hand is better than a crane (in our case - stork) in the sky...
and now I really want to see our storks at least in the sky...

Tatiana and aare, thanks very much for beautiful pictures and beautiful video.
Tatiana, the forest in different day times and "moods" is very nice
The first two pictures of the robins should be a juvenile robin, the third an adult.
aare, you've chosen very nice sequences in your video
Today, 11:38 cranes could be heard for a few minutes.

Tatiana, your series of photos of the nest, with different light and different weather conditions, is simply amazing!
This goes well beyond documenting. You have created art!
Thank you.
Aare, many thanks for making these very lovely videos.
So many memories...

dear aare
you made an excellent documentation in short an long version.
it shows nesting, breeding, hatching, fletching, ringing and flying before migration
and all that without "sex an crime"
may it show to millions of interested people, how nature goes.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the time you invested and the share you do in this forum

Dear Stork Friends
Thank you all for the beautiful pictures and video and summary of this season
If I get Urmas right in his summary then Kotaklubi has to return the transmitter which was borrowed for Oru. But since Oru is on his way they have to buy a new one
Perhaps we can start a fund raising as we did last year in order to help?
One thing I don't understand is the price of the transmitters. "Ours" were 1000 € each. Obviously they are cheaper in Poland and/or Romania. And why is it that so many cranes have transmitters? Are they smaller and cheaper than the ones that are needed for Black Storks?

I'd like to ask about one more visitor of the nests (09.09.19 from Skop):

It was so wonderful to witness the life of this nest for many months, delighted and sometimes worried. And now Aru and Oru are heading southwards. We have to wait until next year to witness new black storks (hopefully) to grow up and leave the nest. Until then take care of yourselves! Pirkko (Finland)
