Difficult to watch, I was speechless staring into the live transmission, sorry for the fallen chick, proud of the two others defending themselves.

But ist like this: Nature is interaction. We are on the side of the storklets. Noone 's cheering for the goshawk and maybe their chicks getting some food. Sorry if I hurt someone reading this and you are allowed to kick me. Everyone of you knows that in his own life there are losses.

Buzzards are better: they don't attack storklets, don't have cainism and their chicks look like fluffy white toys. It's a pity there are no more buzzard cams here.

It's over :loveshower:
12:16 storklets are laying side by side in the nest. I am glad that it is over. That was the worst morning ever.

Asteria, I hope that, too. But - as it is said already - if the goshawk has to feed chicks, he might come back. Two (?) years ago a goshawk catched two storklets from the Polish DAB-nest.

In Dab nest it was much worse, because in 2016 the hawk caught all the storklets! In 2017 it took away two storklets but two younger chased it away and survived. Last year the hawk appeared in July and was not dangerous for them, all the four fledged. This year situation you know: one storklet caught.
