An eagle is very near to be heard.
Unfortunately the transmission is still very bad. I don't know if I can watch successfully.

Thank you, Polly, for the good news! At least they are still in the area.

Unfortunately, no more signs.
I also gave up the camera in the meantime. I admire your patience Mary Jane and I don't know which technical tricks you have. With me the transmission stands already often with starting the camera.
I'll keep looking inside but I'm afraid this season will be unsuccessful.

I have no tricks. Just the VLC player.
Yeah, I think we need to face the truth soon and give up on this nest.

I shortly saw the male on the nest yesterday. But everything looks very much like the use of a second nest somewhere close-by. Maybe later in season, when ringing goes on, somebody from the eagle men can say if there is another nest around. I don't know if somebody goes systematically there, but Renno knew about this nest.

Felis silvestris!
Yes, I have the same feeling. With all the mating attempts and now the sudden quiet it is plausible to think the female has laid eggs on some other nest.
I am happy to hear you saw the male yesterday. It would be nice to at least get a glimpse of them once in a while.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that we get some information about them during the summer.

I had the same hope. Who knows, maybe we get another chance with this nest next year?
I do miss the old WTE nest view though.

@all
Felis silvestris, your explanation sounds plausible. Thank you for that.
Yes, it is a pity but there is also Magnus & Maia... to get to know these birds. Because also for me they are completely new territory.
I have (carefully considered) never seen a female sleeping so often and so deeply during the brood on the eggs. And Maia often does.
If they change their nests, we might have more luck next year.
Best regards!

Good evening, everyone!
There is a new decoration.
A new prospective customer or a guest?
Did any of you happen to notice this?

Hi, Polly!
I just noticed today. Came here hoping to find more information. It seems that someone is still trying to claim the nest as theirs. Let's keep our eyes open.
Some more decorations today.

I guess the LSE do visit their "other" nest(s) while breeding, and leaving twigs shows the use to other birds.
We have often witnessed that before leaving in late summer, LSE bring fresh twigs to their nests to indicate that they will return to it.
This nest has suffered also in the past rains, one can see where nest material must have fallen down.

Thank you for the information, Felis silvestris.
It would be nice to see them again.
We have a cold, windy and rainy week coming. Hopefully their other nest, wherever it is, stays safe.

If the camera still works at the end of season, maybe. As the stream is still very bad, and no Youtube stream to scroll back is available, it is difficult to say who brought the fresh green. But my bet would be on one of the two LSE we know.

Hello!
What a beautiful nest! It is a pity that nobody is in it and the camera is not working well!

We had a visitor at 10:28. Seems to be the female we already know. She stayed for a few minutes.
Apparently, as my sources tell me, they were both on the nest a little before 11.30.

Two people - one thought.
I still look in every day. And Mary Jane...you definitely have a little more luck. Great!
I noticed the beautification of the nest but unfortunately I could never take a snapshot.
Felis silvestris, thank you for your explanation! =)
They put a lot of effort ...the nest looks beautiful.
But I am surprised that they take care of their other nests during rearing.
They seem to be here more often.

Polly! So nice to see you here!
My luck today was down to my mother calling me on my phone: "Look quickly, your eagle is on the nest!"
I was wondering the same thing about the two nests they are keeping, after learning from my mom that later they were both here for quite a while. Is it possible they don't have offspring at all this year?

That's a good question. But her sudden stay away speaks for a rearing.
However I have the hope that they will change the nest next year and prefer it.
It is very beautiful and the couple gives a lot of attention although they do not use it this year.
Your mother is great!
Nice evening for you!

laranjeiras, great catch
Maybe the pair skip the season this year and not that they have chosen another nest for the breeding.
