i haD a look there in the morning anD there was ice all over, anD another look at about half past 11 anD there was a crack across the straight. then i went into the garDen to prune apple trees anD when i got back the ice was practically all gone. anD i haDn't taken a single picture!

here are the two pictures i've taken toDay so far. this was taken at 12.58 when i came from the garDen anD noticeD that the ice haD gone. well not quite all. it seems to be ice on the left shore in the back there. it's the shore which is sheltereD from the winD toDay.

at 16.40 there was a thirD osprey, too, trying to invaDe the nest, but i was too slow to capture a picture. two birDs were in the nest anD the claws of the thirD one were in the upper rim of the picture.
then for a while the two were looking up anD arounD, so i guess that the thirD one was circling arounD.

then a crow came to pay a visit to the remaining osprey! what nerve!
(then the stupiD picture got stuck for a long time... my transmission has been sticky toDay; the eagle cam is jamming all the time anD my mouse buttons are jamming anD even the return-button is lazy: i really have to hit it HARD! to make it work.... MonDays...)
