KC6-Teifi perching on cam pole this morning

Teifi is 13 weeks old today, he's on the camera pole at the moment, screaming for more food. We last saw his older brother, Tywi, exactly 48 hours ago. The weather has changed this morning, just 6C. Very autumnal...

Teifi left his flounder alone...a crow landed on the nest steeling some snacks from the fish...but he took off, cause Idris flew over the nest and arrived at Montys perch with a big fish (mullet I guess)
Crow returned on the nest but took off again
as Teifi flew by chasing the intruder & landed on his nest
as Teifi flew by chasing the intruder & landed on his nest
what a mess: careless boy lost his prey flying over the marsh near T-perch...
Teifi is 92 days old today and has practically taken ownership of the nest from any other bird... osprey, crow, blue tits, none are welcome. However, every day he has an increasing urge to fly south, very soon that drive will become stronger than the urge to stay put, even if it means giving up his nest.
There is a perfect weather migration window this weekend, let's hope he takes it. Teifi will become the 23rd and last osprey chick to migrate from this nest over the last decade when he departs. Soon the nest and 'Monty's Perch' will become redundant again for seven months, having served their purpose for another year.
From Einion to Teifi, we've seen some remarkable stories unfold over the last 10 years.

Well, he hasn't put a talon wrong in five months has he?
Idris brings another flounder to the nest yesterday for his younger son, Teifi, whilst - in all probability - Telyn is just reaching her wintering grounds by now; last seen 16 days ago.
It looks like Idris will stay on until the very end, thereby ensuring his offspring get the best chance possible in life once they're on their own. He had massive boots to fill; the boy's done good
Teifi launched himself off the nest perch at 07:20 yesterday morning, he's not been seen since. We think he's gone.
Idris is still with us, looking around. And around. Thanks for the fish, Dad.

DaD Idris took off 11:26 am, going to catch another fish or now migrating south?
