We have had no sightings of KS3 or KS2 today, so we hope that they have started out on the journey to their lives as independent ospreys.

After searching the nesting area on foot late this afternoon, one of our volunteers managed to find Aran perched in a tree towards the back of the nest site. Unfortunately it was not possible to find this tree with our cameras, despite our best efforts. He was seen headed towards the estuary at 6.15pm, possibly going out fishing. Perhaps he will put in a final appearance on camera tomorrow before he begins his migration.

    Spot the sparrowhawks!
We were visited by two female sparrowhawks around the nest area yesterday, can you spot both of them in the image below?

This is no April Fool's joke... ARAN IS BACK!
He landed at 10:12 this morning. Look out for the video coming this evening!

Aran returns!
Here is a video of the moment Aran landed at 10:12am this morning. We mistakenly thought he had briefly landed at 7:20, but upon reviewing the footage it turned out to be another unringed female who Mrs G promptly saw off the nest.
Both Aran and Mrs G left the nest for some hours this afternoon, later returning together. Mrs G was the one carrying a live fish!
What a wonderful and exciting day here at BGGW! How long will it be until we see an egg in the nest?

EGGSTRAORDINARY Mrs G has just laid the second egg of 2019!!! She stood up at 11:42 this morning, April 16, to reveal the egg. This is the 50th egg laid by Mrs G in her lifetime. An extraordinary achievement by an extraordinary osprey.

Know someone how old beautiful Mrs.G is? I have read about 50th? eggs are laid from her. So she would be around 20 years old!
