Re: Danish WTE web camera 2015-2018
Thanks for the cute video links, albicilla!
They don't differ much in size
There is some bonking seen by the older chick, but not so bad - yet
As we have experienced at SWFL Bald Eagle nest the short age difference (there less than 2 hrs between hatchings, 3 days between incubation durations) doesn't guarantee less bonking, unfortunately. Hope these two don't need to fight much for their food On the other hand everything in their life in the nest educates skills for survival ...

Mamicja, thanks for the video, again
Mum arrived after Dad's long calling
... and found some nestovers to feed her offspring with - I guess the hen leg still
There is not much food in the nest so far

Shift change
Is the prey a cormorant or a crow?
... what ever it was, it seems to be almost gone by now

Both parents fed the little ones, but the female preferred to do it herself and took the rest of the eel from the male.

Male visiting just shortly, didn't bring anything

12:18 The male brings a fish (garfish?)
After some time, the female starts feeding, but only the older eaglet gets the food.
Later, the younger eaglet was also fed.

Close-ups
20:25 the male tried to take the bird's remains, but the female took them away.
She covered the chicks and placed the remains of food in front of her

Breakfast - or maybe the second breakfast at 06.47
Male in with a washed Comorant
The beak above the birds foot here belongs to the female. Male is pulling in the meat.
Female left the nest and the male gave the small ones some food and covered them.

The times I have been watching parts of feedings it has run smoothly and both eaglets have got fed, like here: both can beg for bites and no bonking occurs, it is nice to see , It looks, too, that there is enough food provided so far.

Suddenly after a long winter and a very cold April - today the wind fell down an it was 18 degrees in the places without wind. I think it was very hot in the nestbowl. One of the chicks made a small trip. Maybe to find shadow to cool down.
