Thanks for pictures and reportings albicilla and Ferenz

According to the comment of Ole Friis Larsen 14. April 2020 at 18.07 on the DOF's chat the female is new in her roll as parent, she has bonded last year with the old male, but they didn't breed. Also the present male is new and probably not breeded before. So the unlucky feeding attempts are natural learning process for the new parents. Hopefully instincts tell them how to proceed :2thumbsup:

Dear all, bear with us. Some would like to see the next kid on the way out of the egg and details of the young person who has already arrived. That's why we're zooming very close these days.

You should probably get it all back in a few days.

We use both the camera to show what is happening in an eagle in an entertaining way, but also to study details in a professional manner. It may be young on their way out of eggs, like right now, and it may be prey that we would like to identify or know about.

I have difficult to watch the nest - the chick begs for food - but doesn't always get, the parents don't always react ... There is plenty of food, but the parents instincts to feed the chick are not yet optimal :slap:
Maybe the days become better within the time

Google translation from Dof FB:

Starting this morning 😊

If you zoom in on the egg you can see the beak of the little new kid.

I think it reaches the egg completely before midnight.
The first youngster is # 14 in the nest 🇩🇰 on the 14th, so if the next one gets out of the egg today, the No. 15 youngster on the nest and the date on the 15th will be a little fun meeting.

As close as the second one hatches, the better! :bounce:

Both are present and there is plenty of food - just the instinct is needed to feed the offspring

From DOF chat GT
People no access
Posted by Ole Friis Larsen on April 16, 2020 at 14:52
Answer questions about riders who escaped: No, it shouldn't occur.

The nest is in the Fugleværnsfondens reserve, where one must not go outside the roads and paths without being allowed. There are signs around the nest that access is prohibited in the nest area.

Fortunately, it is respected by most, but it happens that there are people who do not follow the signs. If we were to keep everyone out of the area, it would require guards in several places around the clock. We do not have the opportunity.
