We have real dutch weather, last weeks a lot of sun, sometimes rain and beautiful Dutch skies, clouds!
Beautiful, Fleur, it reminds me of parts of Montana, where I was raised-- "Big Sky Country."
And, Alice, I saw on the weather report yesterday or today that all along the west coast of the USA it is much cooler & wetter than usual this year.

Yes it has been in the 65f / 15C kind of range and rainy or grey in Oregon (it was nicer today). No Dutch skies for us.

Today sunset was not visible but at 22.30 in the south
east for a moment you could see the moon.

In the west the sunset on 15.6.2011 NL time 21.39 pm, day of the total eclipse of the moon.
The sky in the south east where the moon would rise was cloudy but from the south the wind
drove away the clouds..but, a shame, very slowly.
Behind these rather low hanging clouds the moon was hidden.
To show you how beautiful it could have been to see "the red moon". I found this picture (Yvan Van Geluwe) on Internet.
On NL time 23.11 pm the moon came out of the shadow of the earth again
23.53
Second part ....

Moon eclipse 15.06.2011. Part 2.
NL time 23.53 pm
NL time 23.57 pm
NL time 16.06.2011 00.04 am
NL time 1.09 am
NL time 1.10am
Rather late and it was soooo quiet everywhere.
In December we can see a partially eclipse, if...... there are no clouds....
Good night!

I have tried an experiment with a picture of Netherland Owls and I got it:
I just took it some minutes before - I love owls and their families

Spring passed and summer came with beautiful days, sometimes with showers and sometimes almost too hot.
On June 22 in the Achterhoek, a part of the province Gelderland in the Netherlands these pictures have been made.
20.10
After a shower a common redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus) is furtively looking around to catch flying insects
21.23
The sky is getting a strange yellowish colour
21.26
some tiny clouds appear
21.27
sun is lower and it is getting a bit darker
21.27
all happens so fast: first raindrops against the windowpanes
21.27
in the same minute it really is pouring on the garden

Part 2.

and on the hosta's
21.29
where a diligent bee is gathering pollen
21.48
The rainshower has stopped and the clouds drifted to the north
21.49
a hare in the fresh watered meadow
21.50
it is getting darker now
21.53
the back side of the clouds that brought us the shower
21.55
and in the west all looks soo calm in the last light of this beautiful day.

That is absolutely true Jo, but sometimes we forget to
enjoy it, even though our eyes are seeing it...
But on July 7 at 21.05 pm in Donna's garden under the apple trees when I saw this beautiful roe doe I really enjoyed it very much and felt exceptionally grateful for this encounter!

An oystercatcher...
It looks like a warm summerday, a wooddove in the gras and swallows are flying around; but
it is rather cold and no day the last week without many rainshowers..
when will it get warmer??
