Airras, I first thought they were dogs
My parents have a little glass house for plants in their garden - and wasps are living in it, they love the blossoms of the chive

In the garden ...
Short before opening
This rose has not such a "spectacular" blossom - but she smells wonderful!

As an exception I quote the picture here. I think it is an aquilegia, we've had such flowers in my parent's garden too - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquilegia and a German page which has almost the same picture as you have, Lussi http://www.natur-lexikon.com/Texte/MZ/0 ... kelei.html! They are pretty!Lussi05 wrote: And some old flowers who has been here before our time. Don't know their name, maybe some of you do?

From the english wikipedia page -- The genus name Aquilegia is derived from the Latin word for eagle (aquila), because the shape of the flower petals, which are said to resemble an eagle's claw. The common name "columbine" comes from the Latin for "dove", due to the resemblance of the inverted flower to five doves clustered together.
Both eagle and dove -- rather lovely (and I really like the flower).

I like them too, and I also have them in white, but they arrive a little bit later. They grow "wild" because they are from "the old times", so they were here when we moved here. My husbands grandparentes lived here before us.

I did not know you have fireflies.
They are no fireflies anywhere near me. I think of them where it is hot and muggy. I think I saw them once when I was in Indiana.
