Re: Wild Boar Webcam Discussion 2010 - 2011
there are at least two piles of food on top of the hay.
i like the idea of spreading hay around to make ground a bit drier. i have always thought that it's a shame to poor food on the muddy wet ground, though the pigs don't seem to mind it.

Life is so hard, and eating ...
Better do it like the old Romans did and have your food lying down

Good day / good evening! The boars search the hay for delicious food. They seem to be eating some of the hay, too.

They were there for quite a time, while my mouse and keyboard were elsewhere. And now that I am back in business they are gone.

April 10th: Good morning!
it's sunny but windy so it is difficult to hear the birds. there's no animals i think... except the hay on the ground is pecfect to hide millions of birds there. but i don't see anyone moving there.
edit: now that i looked more carefully i saw two minuscule brown spots moving in the back near the salt pole's place... KBVs.

I saw lots of movement -- some of it was the hay blowing and some was really creature movement but it is hard to tell. Even Jays can just disappear at the right angle.

Sad, but at least this year the cam was closed 2 weeks later than in 2010. Let us hope the second one will stay and the piglets appear soon.Mutikluti wrote:Good morning!

More disturbing is that the BS still was not opened while in 2008 there were already two eggs by this time and in 2009 Toomas regularly appeared in the nest.

I also want to thank everyone there who made it possible to view the cam, the people who brought food every day and everyone out there also watching and sharing pictures and films! I learnt a lot in those few weeks and I look forward the next season, this time right from the beginning!

Oh, no! I had hoped to see the little striped baby piglets here. And maybe raccoon dog pups! And also all the lovely birds. But I know it is a lot of work for everyone, & as spring warms & melts, it is time for the boars to begin fending for themselves. Thank you to all who made the cam possible, & to the kind people who feed the boars. Until the next season!

I think baby piglets will appear in the second camera soon. Last year four moms with piglets came regularly.

Alice: every picture is a special one. I must always smile about the kind of standing during the meal - especially when I see the little ones. Thank you for all you pictures - you showed many of them at other times than we see at the german time.alice44 wrote:My last picture from the cam (not as special as Bleggi's but...)
Greetings with hope for piglets at the other cam
