German journal "Stern" has in its new issue (2012, No. 26 from today)
an article on White tailed Eagles: "Seine Majestät ist zurück" (His majesty is back)
Nice photos and a 2 page article! Page 68

http://www.stern.de/aboknoten/der-neue- ... 43596.html

At the moment the little version of the magazine is clickable and one can click through to the article! (click the top right edge for scrolling!)
“One can measure the greatness and the moral progress of a nation by looking at how it treats its animals” (Mahatma Gandhi)
"You can judge a man's true character by the way he treats his fellow animals" (Paul McCartney)

Thanks for the hint, Felis! Probably the little version will disappear soon, so it won´t make sense to put it into the database. But the link may stay here for the time beeing. Beautiful pictures!

I think it might be worth to keep an eye on that article, I just clicked the tag "Seeadler" and found an article published in 2005

http://www.stern.de/wissen/natur/brutpr ... 38556.html

Maybe after a while it wanders into their searchable archive?

Possible. Let me know if you spot it in the archive, please. I put the article from 2005 into "Full text articles, diff. languages", thank you!

Thanks for adding a link here, macdoum! Yes, this video is part of the collection, and one of the most beautiful and optimistic in my opinion. :headroll: I enjoyed watching it.

As we have an injured WTE released with a transmitter, I have looked but did not find this with search:
Meyburg has presented this poster:
http://www.raptor-research.de/pdfs/a_sp ... eadler.pdf and I found also an article on the WTE in question:
http://www.lr-online.de/regionen/Seeadl ... 88,2884978 from 2010.

The story of this eagle and the Meyburg website are already part of the collection, but I´ll add the poster to the old entry, thanks.

I hope this one has better luck than "our" Nimeta!

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,

The article was already on my to-add list, but thanks. It´s sad, especially because there are safe, available alternatives to lead ammunition for all hunting, so there's no reason for this poisoning to go on.
