58.DOF received a parcel with a dead White-tailed Eagle. April 2013

Dansk Ornitologisk Forening (DOF) received a very special parcel. The parcel came from a Danish family which found a dead White-tailed Eagle and sent the bird to DOF. National Veterinary Institute DTU will try to determine the cause of death.

Source: jv.dk, 10 April 2013. By Søren Lund Nielsen http://www.jv.dk/artikel/1565813:Soende ... ed-havoern
DTU Vet (in English) http://www.vet.dtu.dk/English/About_us.aspx

Thanks for the hint to b.h-p, who made also this summary translation of the video which is embedded in the article:
“The 9th of April 2013 DOF recieved a parcel with unusual content. A dead WtE. Found by a family in a forest in the south of Jutland. The family did take a photo of the dead bird and did put it on the Facebook site of DOF and asked which bird this was and was contacted by DOF afterwards. Together with DOF members they succeeded in finding the dead WtE again, and that was why the WtE arrived in a parcel to DOF in Copenhagen. The dead bird is now going to be examined in a try to find out what caused the it´s death – illness, poison or what else. But some time will pass before the result of this is clear. There is luckily no breedingpairs in the area where the bird was found, but it might have been a future breedingbird. The rest is instructions in what to do if someone do find a dead WtE.”
