18.Czech eagle Viktor is doing well. February 2015

The exhausted bird was found on New Year´s day. After a month in a wildlife center it was fitted with a satellite tag and released.

19.White-tailed eagle sighted around Stranraer and Rhins. UK, February 2015

"A juvenile white-tailed eagle, (Haliaeetus albicilla) of BBC Springwatch and Mull Eagle Watch fame, has been thrilling residents of Stranraer for more than a month now, having been sighted at various locations around the town and surrounding areas, in close proximity to both the North and South Rhins."

26.Environmentalists protest overhead electricity line planned for Hula Valley. Israel, February 2015

“Installation of overhead power lines in the area pose a serious threat to the Hula Valley, which has become an international beacon for ecotourism and provides a place of respite for more than a million migratory birds each year (…).” According to the article, a local conservation project has operated to revive the population of white-tailed eagles that became extinct in the 1950s.

28.Ørnens Dag 2015: Danish White-tailed Eagle population grows. February 2015

According to the article, there are about 61 WtE pairs in the country now. The species disappeared in Denmark at the beginning of the 20th century and returned in 1995.

29.Another eagle pair homeless as tree cut down. Germany, February 2015

The 140 year old oak containing the nest was felled between 17 and 21 February. A White-tailed Eagle pair raised here one or two young each year at least since 2007. According to the article, the nest was destroyed after a wind energy farm was discussed in the community. Police are investigating the case.

34.Hunter to appeal against 10-month sentence. Sweden, February 2015

The man who tortured and killed a White-tailed Eagle seeks shorter sentence, even though the dead bird was found in his house along with two lynx furs and a video which shows the death of the eagle. According to the prosecutor, the hunter should have received a sentence of 14 to 18 month.
