# 2 returned to the nest without this very bony fish.
Ivo returned to the nest with the fish and gave it to # 2.

Nobody else came to the nest. The fish are lying. Tomorrow morning one of the chicks or Iiris will be happy to find them.

At some point, observing an animal species often means having to deal with other neighbors as well. Good this way.

Well, that's not entirely true.
The hawk and the sparrowhawk may well share a territory. It's called 'interspecific competition'. I don't know if Google translates it correctly.
The hawk and the sparrowhawk prefer different prey. In this way they manage to hunt and share a territory together. Yes, they will probably avoid it if possible, but fertile areas with sufficient food and breeding opportunities will decrease.
Many animal species ... competing animal species ... hunters and prey are increasingly being pushed back into smaller areas. Well, that sparrowhawk never actually launched an attack. And he calls a lot. It rather indicates insecurity and the search for contact. An animal on the hunt would be silent.
In short, because I read it here ... yes, two animals can definitely be seen even if it is not the mating season. Remember - the juveniles are taught by their parents. It can be parent and juvenile associations. So two.
I used to like crows because they can scare off hawks (red kites can do that too!) And because they recognize hawks quickly and send out warning calls. Since crows seem to kill chicks and hunt adults
(as observed in Finland?), I see it differently.

So there are many other enemies of the Osprey. Often unexpected.

This year was very very successful for both nests. Marko & Miina, Ivo & Iiris ... I am very happy about it. :innocent:
good morning. :) the fact is that the goshawk hunts not only smaller hawks, but even its weaker relatives. birds give similar signals in the sky, denoting their territory. the osprey also has such signals and a special flight. called poetically, sky dance . very beautiful.
all male ospreys dance the sky at the start of the breeding season. and for example in Poole Harbor the male is new, young, but decided to stay in the nest. he's dancing right now, calling the sky his own. there are photos and videos in fb. :)

# 2 flew to the nest. The first picture is blurry, but it shows how accurately she jumped on the fish. Hunting skills are acquired.
# 2 took one fish.
