Thank you,
Sova, for taking pictures of the beautiful Jay!
And a great
Olgapyat video. Thanks!
This video reminded me of what happened in the nest of Mai and Mick in 2016. The Carla and Cecilia Chicks could not loosen their grip on the claws for 20 minutes while owning a single fish.

Hello! Again, news of the hawk is causing fear...This Finnish hawk is young. He's just learning!
I was astonished that they didn't hunt the goshawk at all, but they were the hunted ... when I think of our Juuli, it was completely different.

By the way, in 2012, at the second nest, where no one nested that season, in the fall, adult and young ospreys stopped to rest and transfer fish.
Capture 4.09.12.
...
what nest is that, Gavril?

Hello!
Thank you for the reports and pictures,
Sova!
At 9: 02 a.m., a gray-haired woodpecker sang. And then on the construction site of the webcam, most likely, a Great Spotted Woodpecker (my poor, poor eardrums
).

What a Jolly little bird. She performed an intricate dance over the nest.
I didn't understand what kind of bird it was. The quality of my stream leaves much to be desired...But I really want to understand what kind of bird it is.
Could it be a Woodlark?

Yes, it looks very much like a lark! I'm not sure, because larks are a bird of fields, meadows, but maybe it's a forest lark (Lullula arborea). Maybe he was behind a group of larks, hurrying to migrate to the South of Europe.

My time 19:45 ... I am sitting in front of the PC and hear a well-known call / scream (Goshawk). I jump out onto the terrace and do not see him at first, I only see a kestrel flying around the big tree. And then, the Goshawk flies towards me and carries a magpie. Kestrel flies after him ... Magpie is still screaming ... I just smoked two cigarettes ...

sova, the hawks ... Goshawks are also active here. I have been hearing their calls for about 3 weeks. I've never seen one before and I don't know if they are young people with the intention of moving to new territory. But their calls are clear. My husband found 2 picked pigeon carcasses in the adjacent forest. I have to look for nests before I blame hawks. Actually, they don't leave prey behind. And we also had long-eared owls ....

(I'll smoke one with you.)
