:hi: Good evening "garina do mar"
Yes, I know, Aldea del Cano! ... but she was in Algeria for the first year ... who knows ...
No, not yet, but that means that Vilja stays safely in the same place and feels the stomach :D

I think Vilja passed through Algeria to come do the Iberian peninsula. Birds do strange trips :puzzled:
So, when there is no data it means that Vilja has stopped, not problems with the bird or the GPS thing?

If the birds stay in the same area, there is no new update every day. In addition, Mr. Urmas must have time ... don't worry!

I have just explored a little the trektellen.org site, because I wanted to know where the most Lesser Spotted Eagles have been counted so far per day.
At Bourgas, Bulgaria, Sept 21 - 4389!!
And they have also counted 1458 Black Storks !!!

Really big and notable streams heading south !
Thank you very much, Susanne!
It is very interesting to know!

Promised: I will hold myself back with posting regularly trektellen.org-results, but: there is a notable count of Lesser Spotted Eagles on Sept 23, again at Bourgas, Bulgaria.

- On Sept 21, it was 4389 (I posted this already, cloud-cover: 7/8, visibility: 12 000 m).
- On Sept 22: 229. (Sky was fully cloud covered, visibility: 8000 m). Black Storks: 30.
- Sept 23: cloud-cover:6/8, visibility: 10 000 m
Black Storks: 643

LSE: 6497 !!! Total Sept 21-23 at Bourgas alone: 11 115 Lesser Spotted Eagles.

Please don´t hold yourself back - for me it is a very welcome and informative contribution to this topic. Thank you!

Very interesting to compare these 'hotspots' with the current positions of our LSEs and GSEs on the birdmap

Thank you Bea!
OK, I won't exaggerate then. But you are absolutely right: we in fact have something to compare! I am curious if one of "our" 'tracker-birds' by chance crosses one of those stations (those stations: I check Batumi daily, just for fun, so to speak, I'll try to keep an eye on Bourgas which also seems to be a super hotspot/bottle neck for our bird species).
But nothing seems to be predictable, see Black Storks: on one day almost 1500, the next day: 30.
