Asteria ... I know Zlata, we also have this name.
Żółta ... it's actually because of the yellow transmitter (I'm not Polish but I understand it well), Żółta - žuta (in my language.)

ŻÓŁTY:
- storks got "names" according to the colour of the leg-transmitters that year
- she is "named" BOCZ 07 ZOL
BOCZ = BOcian CZarny = black stork;
ZOL = ŻÓŁTY/YELLOW - colour of her transmitter (the female form is ŻÓŁTA)

btw. previous year the young storks with transmitter got names according to the place where they hatched

POLAND - project RDLP in Łódz

(GT) 5 of our young black storks with loggers set up in 2020 at RDLP in Łódz have already flown to Europe.
One is in Turkey, two in Bulgaria, one in Romania and one in Moldova.
