Any other problem, Michi? :mrgreen:
Wow, I'm deeply impressed.
The only problem is that you set different standards for yourself than you do for others.
Maybe you should think about it.

Tõnns surroundings today, 07.11.2019.
View to north, viewing height is about 1,1 km.

Thank you again, Hellem, Sova and all for documenting Tõnns paths. It is really interesting to follow him. And so nice to see that the French people are observing him closely. :thumbs: :D

:hi: Rita
Sorry to interrupt. Normally I am a silent reader of this interesting and well-documented topic.
But unfortunately, your translation is not correct.

l'étang = the pond, the pool
(like a fish pool, not a swimming pool, that would be la piscine) :mrgreen:

the swamp = le marécage, le marais

the wetland = le marais, la zone humide

Of course, sometimes ponds can be found in a wetland.

Nov 7 A nice picture by Eric Chaput of Tõnn :D :thumbs:

Remarque de Éric Chaput :Vers 8h00, Tonn, en vol, surgit face à moi dans l'axe du chemin à 150m, dans la frondaison, s'élève et passe au-dessus des arbres vers l'ouest.
GT: Remark Eric Chaput: Around 8:00, Tonn, in flight, appears in front of me in the axis of the road at 150m, in the foliage, rises and passes over the trees to the west.

Hello to all! :hi:

Very interesting topic! And Tõnn's journey, and links, and even linguistic notes - everything is very interesting! (I’m only afraid that my English is ... :bow: )
Do you think Tõnn will fly to Spain or stay in the winter in France? :puzzled:

And a small group is growing! Thank you so much !!! :wave:

sova :wave: , in 2017 Tõnn arrived in El Hondo on December 12

There was an addition to Willy Hugedets observation yesterday:
Très belle observation de Tõnn à 12h35 en compagnie de Guy Pascal. Toujours sur site, semble s'être reposé au Nord de la RN57 côté Saône. À noter rectrice gauche la plus externe pendante

Could someone translate that last sentence (in bold)?, the online translators just give rubbish :whistling:

Found some weather cams around Besançon, maybe one can see him live :mrgreen: https://www.yr.no/place/France/Franche- ... n%C3%A7on/

(plume) rectrice - steering feather (in birds)

Perhaps so:
"The left outer steering feather should be noted." :puzzled:

@ sigge, rectrice is the feather of the tale. so the feather at left is hanging. but one question: when i compare the pictures of both observers, there are clearly differences in both birds. see the tale of claude nardins pictures and the one of willy hugedet. maybe it is because of the rain... but in the right wing it is also different. what do you think?

Hello, sigge :hi:

"À noter rectrice gauche la plus externe pendante"

une rectrice = a feather of the tail
gauche = left
externe = outward

"To be noticed: the outermost tail feather on the left side is bending downwards." (is pending, hanging)

Possibly Tõnn is losing that tail feather?

Oops, I see that pica :wave: already wrote it too. And Tatyana :hi:
