An expedition to Ethiopia by the ornithologists of the Estonian University of Life Sciences Ivar Ojaste, Leho Luigujõe and Urmas Sellis began. The purpose of the trip is to explore land use and the richness of its potential food base in a region where several Estonian cranes have been consecutively wintered.
During the trip they will learn more about the Sululta area north of the Ethiopian capital, where a crane family from Ahja village stopped in the winter of 2013/2014. On December 6th arrived to the same area probably the same female bird and her only offspring who were tagged by Ivar Ojaste and Uko Bleive in Ahja village last summer

They will visit Ahja 6 and Ahja 7 in Ethiopia
