In 2018 he arrived at Libyan coast a bit more west

:loveshower:

So this year his route was more clever - less water to cross

Osprey Autumn Migration

Vija is already in South France, yay! This girl makes pace :D

Image

She made 2695 km on from her start in Latvia and is now southwest of Toulouse

Image

Next step is to cross the Pyrenees and the border to Spain.
On her way is Lac de la Gimone, maybe it is a point of orientation for her?

Osprey Autumn Migration

With today´s update we can see that Markus is still enjoying his pitstop time in Ukraine

Image

It is his preferred area for a break, also in previous years (2015-2018), as one can see on the comparing lines

Image

River Tyra, where he is fishing, really looks like a snake :D

The Ancient Greek name of Dniester, Tyras (Τύρας), is from Scythian tūra, meaning "rapid."[citation needed] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dniester)

Tyras (Ancient Greek: Τύρας) was an ancient Greek city on the northern coast of the Black Sea. It was founded by colonists from Miletus, probably about 600 BC. The city was situated some 10 km from the mouth of the Tyras River, which is now called the Dniester. The surrounding native tribe was called the Tyragetae. The ruins of Tyras are now located in the modern city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in the Odessa Oblast of Ukraine. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyras)

satellite map use the name Dnister River and basemap Дністер/Ukrainian (birdmap) and Днестр/Russian language

Maybe he is in this swamp now.
