Soon, I suppose... Presumably before mid-March.
It is indeed always worrisome when they are travelling (again). There are so many dangers along the way...
It's not 'stupid' to worry, Sova.

Thanks for the weather report!

It's not stupid to worry.
There is a song that reminds me that the birds have a bird life and that they do not want or need it in any other way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWzb4Lqoxmg (It is in Estonian, it's old and of poor quality, and it's about cranes - but (partly) applies to storks, too, I believe.)
I have tried to (very clumsily) translate a few verses:

I was born on the ground, low,
but my home is a yearning to flee,
a cry for help and a call to go
to the southernly sands and seas.

My home is out there,
upon skies and winds,
in the cold and hunger, bare,
and wings and wings and wings.

(Just wanted to share my strategy when thinking about the dangers of bird life.)

Hello Trine. :hi:
Thank you for these translated verses. I like them.
Yes, birds live their (often tough) lives as they have done for thousands of years. They do what they are supposed to do, and live (probably entirely) in the present.
(This unlike us humans, who have a tendency to spend a lot of time imagining or fearing all kinds of future scenarios, or reliving past experiences, over and over in our restless minds. :D )
