(but very probably Aru was already very weak, exhausted after these days - from Oct. 06 maybe - with the injured wing  )
Nope, it was the post from remete1946: posting.php?mode=quote&f=65&p=696783

Problems with Aru started earlier, yet on October 2, when she flew less than 1 km per day.

Yes, that is true. Last year the female raven died from stress when moving by car despite she had food. Just because she was put alone in the cardboard box. She was neither ill nor hungry, but died during the trip.

I am very grateful to you and all the veterinarians who work and help animals.
It is incredibly hard work, you see so much death. But your hard work also helps so many helpless animals. Thank you to all in this profession.

On another note. We will await the autopsy. I am afraid that this end was coming a long time ago.
I often looked at the birdmap and worried, why is Aru's route so different from Oru's?
Maybe it was the original wing injury, maybe an inherent problem. Who knows.

Fly high, sweet little Aru.

I found an injured wood pigeon and brought it to the veterinarian. the pigeon died on the transport to the doctor. The stress in the car was too much for the pigeon. Wild animals are different than pets or farm animals. For them, humans are the enemy!

This post appeared after the message on this forum, perhaps she got an email from the people who saved Aru.

That raven was tame and she had a host who handed her to the other ppl, because they had a big aviary(and her host had only a usual flat where she lived in a cage). Before the trip she was shown to a vet who told she was OK. Moreover, the male raven traveled in the same care survived but she didn't.

Alexandre Vintchevski
From the Pinsk veterinary service, they reported that they did not find any wounds or injuries on the stork. For some reason, the bird sat in the middle of the forest. Probably was exhausted and could no longer fly on.
When the specialists of the Ministry of Natural Resources found her, she lay on her back upside down and did not move. That he was alive they noticed only by the movement of the ...? века.?or

I could not find another word for века.

So Aru was healthy when he was on the way. Now all speculation has come to an end. also the constant allegations that Estonia should have done something in august.
I still think, that Urmas knew best, if he should catch Aru or not. I very much agree that he did not do it.

sorry my English.

The movement of eyelid.

Aru was not healthy, she was exhausted and couldn't bear a long way. She should have stayed in the shelter this winter! Perhaps the same happened to Malwin two years ago, but he died in the forest.

"Estonia should have done something in August"
What is this about? Should have done what? Why?
We know that Aru had a superficial wing injury, from which he recovered, well enough to fly long distances.
Maybe this is simply a reflection of the people making the allegation - they don't understand some injuries, or the natural world.

Jo, there is discussion on Facebook in this thread about Aru. some write that one should have caught Aru and had to help him, about the injured wing. There are now pictures of his injured wing on face book. So you might think there is a context between August and now. That's the reason why I asked yesterday which wing is broken. Now we know - no wing!
