Jo,
- maybe one tracker map per day is enough if all is O.K. with our birds (e.g. one for you, one for Anne and one for Juta)
- and who know how long .... lost are very high in first year (unfortunately we already have this sad experience with our young storks hatched last year)

Thank you very much for your answer. I understand!Anne7 wrote: ↑August 13th, 2019, 6:49 pm Poliff,
Urmas updates the birdmap. To do that, he also uses the raw data that is received (if all goes well) on OrniTrack. He will do that work at a moment when he has time. So sometimes not every day. For example, if he is abroad, you will have to wait many days.
Jo, Juta and I make the tracker maps. That is not an automated process. It takes quite some work and concentration to create such maps + pictures of the maps + street views. We are volunteers, and neither of us can afford to be permanently available, each and every day. So yes, you will have to wait.
Firstly, until there has been a new successful data session on OrniTrack.
Secondly, until one of us has enough time (and willingness) to create the new tracker maps.
Smile, you're being filmed by a hidden camera!

To my curiosity, I looked at Oru's flight map and found that Oru was flying at its highest altitude at 1201 meters and the fastest speed was 65 km / h. I checked those values semi-manually. Those values were not in the same record.

Thanks, Sova!
I will complete yesterday's summary.
Hooray, our little Karula has flown more than 10 000 km since he left the nest in Karula National Park!
(10 035 km, to be more precise)

Wow Karula !!! that's a proud number of kilometers.
I wonder; does he fly back to Tall al Manţaḩ later?
I have one more question; what can we expect next year? Is Karula flying back to the north (at home)?
