16:30 Here's one way to make air move
Image

16:45 There's a visitor on the right in the horaltic pose
Image

16:46 Are you going to introduce yourself?

16:49 It's T20, been here before
Image

16:50 I missed the beginning of the visit, but since 16:45 there's been absolutely no aggression from either party
Image

16:52 Is T20 going to socialise with the youngster?

16:54 Not at all
Image

17:40 Someone's reported a visit from vulture no. 72 (K72 probably) at 17:36; right now the chick appears to have no company

19:19 I'd rather be heart-shaped than pear-shaped
Image

19:20 Between 7 and 8 pm there are several brief burts of activity form the little griffon

19:40 The day will have been rather lean

19:41 Here I come!
Image

19:46 The chick even attempts a jump or two towards the left-hand-section of the ledge almost losing his/her footing in the process (it's nail-biting watching, but at this stage it's still rather scary to think what would happen if the chick slipped...)
Image

19:51 Speaking of nails... The head-scratching action is more and more fluent though not fully stable yet

19:53 The good news is that there seems to be enough room on the ledge for these exercises

20:01 How I wish I could cross over...

20:31 The chick has melted like a snowman in spring
Image

21:05 No worries, I'm just relaxing (and preening, there's no end to preening now - parasites?)
Image

23:05 And that'll be good night!

The little griffon is now 109 days old.

11 June

01:15 Sleeping in a messy heap
Image

02:15 This looks much better except that the chick isn't sleeping (there's a funny little creature I can't identify just north of the bottom left corner of the image, perhaps a lizard)
Image

08:02 The chick, all bristled up, has just got up from the nest floor and run to its current spot :puzzled:

At 9:17 the chick was being fed by Dad (first-hand observation). (S)he may have been fed again around noon (according to a post below the stream), presumably by Mom.

17:04 No surprises

18:25 An epilogue to a bout of vigorous wing exercise

19:35 Right after this the chick breaks into a fit of begging frenzy

19:36 Enter Dad with both wings out and a beetroot instead of the head

19:41 See you tomorrow
Image

19:43 The late meal hasn't motivated the chick into action
Image

19:54 Flying with a large crop does not seem a major challenge for adult griffons, but if (a) you haven't started flying, (b) you have just been fed, (c) it's going to get dark in a few minutes, then you might not be in the mood to practise
