5. May

My recording stopped at 01:28 and an other owl lover told me that there was a delivery from Leo, a bird. Our both recordings failed exactly at this time, there must have been something at the cam and/or the stream itself at place.

There was a blocked view feeding from 02:22 - 02:33

At 03:36 Lotte flew out and according to the sounds she made she got some prey handed over from Leo outside.

03:40
Lotte is coming home and has a dark feathered bird with her, it goes to the hind larder

Lotte left at 04:34

While Lotte fed the owlets, Leo delivered a mouse.
He made no attempt to give it straight to the owlets, Lotte was too close
Lotte took the mouse and gave to the older owlet. That´s how things have to be done :rotf:

Lotte heard the Garden Dormouse upstairs in the upper larder and went after it.
She stayed up there about 17 minutes, patiently, but she didn´t get a chance to catch it :whistling:

btw: I don´t know what happened to the muskrat that was stored in the upper larder, maybe it is fed already or Lotte took it out - maybe in the night, when I had no recordings

She returned at 03:15, with empty talons, and walked out of the nest bowl again at 03:23

Older owlet develops well, its feet/legs are such thick stompers, I am pretty sure it is a female

Hello, I'm new here and I'm watching Lotte and Leo with my children.
Has something happened to the two owlets? I can't see them anymore...

Hi Rosinchen, welcome to Looduskalender forum :gathering:

Both owlets were hiding several hours in the right side larder, around the corner - only every now and then one could see some downfeathers :D
Maybe it was a bit warmer there in this corner and they felt more comfortable there?

:hi: Rosinchen, I was surprised last night too, where are the owlets?
Then I heard them. They had hidden on the right side in the larder, not visible for us. The mouse has visited them. They have spent the night there.
