New video of the Dutch eagleowlets, made by forester/wildlife ranger Tjibbe, where we can see two preening owlets:

Last night the first, and only, egg hatched for the barnowls at Heligan, UK.
Here a picture of the newly hatched barnowlet from when the female was briefly off to go to 'powder hear beak':

Since Wednesday the view is so blurry, as if during sandstorm or thick fog.
But parents deliver food, yesterday I saw owlets fighting for a prey.
EDIT And now mom flew in.

Video of the ringing of the Dutch Eagleowlets on May 21st:
http://www.volgdeoehoe.nl/jonge-oehoes-geringd-2/
The text says that the oldest owlet is most likely a female, weighing 1413 grammes at an age of 29 days old with a wing chord of 168 mm.
The second owlet was much smaller, very likely a male. He weighed 1019 grammes with a wing chord of 143 mm.
Both owlets were checked for diseases and malnutrition, but nothing was found, so they are in excellent physical shape.
The ringers also found a feather of the female, which after analysis could tell that the female is about 9 years old, so she's very likely the same female as in previous years.

13:31 - The Danish eagleowlets are being ringed and weighed now:
Ringer just picked up the owlets and put them in a bag:
The 1st owlet is placed back:
And the 2nd:
Some grass trimming so the cam view isn't blocked:
And then the camera went black and wouldn't restart:

One of owlets got a rat. Now they are often out of the cam range and it's hard to notice deliveries.

Snowy Owl in Alaska!
Catch a glimpse of a ghost! Enjoy a sneak peek of a Snowy Owl nest in the remote landscape of Arctic Alaska.
Also known as 'Tundra Ghosts', these owl parents are nurturing six newborn chicks.
The Snowy Owl is not nocturnal and can be seen hunting day or night. With 24 hours of daylight now in Barrow, there's plenty of time for viewing.

The place seemed completely empty.
Suddenly the owl with prey swooped down and behind the hill appeared owlets.
